Quick Easy Hood Replacement Struts

Tired of headaches?
Daughter's FJ Cruiser's hood has hit me in the head for the last time. Replaced the hood support struts and the hood stays open with no problem. Installed easily and work well, now just need to see how long they last.

2010 Toyota FJ. Fits Perfect.
I put these on my 2010 Toyota FJ. They fit perfectly. Took lees than 10 minutes to get the old ones off and install the new ones. Quality seems to be good. We will see how long these last, but for the price, even if I need to replace them another time or two, they are still less expensive than factory. Very happy.

Let's face it, guys, after years of hard use, the ol' hood just doesn't stand up at attention the way it did when it was young. Well Dr.Erector has the solution! These struts pop on, look like originals and work like they were adolescents again! Throw away the stick you were using to hold the hood up and buy these...

Surprisingly Strong!
Perfect fit for my '07 FJ. To remove your old gas lifts you will need a small slotted (flat blade) screwdriver to remove the metal clamps on each end of your worn gas lifts. Once they are removed a moderate tug on the top or hood connection point will free it from the hood. Be careful to keep a hand on the hood so it does not fall. Once free you can lever or pry the bottom connection against the bracket it is attached to to free it. IMPORTANT: You do not need to remove the metal clips from the new lifts. Just push the bottom one on and then you may have to turn the head of the lift to align it with the know on the hood and push it on. Repeat on the others side and you're good to go. I believe this set has noticably more force that the OEM ones.
