This book is a life changer and keeps its promise
I followed the guidance in this book exactly, and was amazed by the results. It’s magic for anyone who is willing to do exactly what she says for six weeks, no matter what. Read the entire book before you start. It really is a lifestyle change - a fun, exciting, effective one.

Great lifestyle book
This is not just an exercise book or a diet book. Louise Parker offers her recommended plan for exercise, healthy eating, healthy outlook on life and more. It does not just state to eat healthy, it will also recommend that you should set a nice dinner table, make it look nice. The exercise plan is not an intensive, you have to spend 1-hour on cardio workouts. It works to make a plan that will be easy to incorporate into everyday life. I think it is a very good plan as it does not try to make you change for 1 month but for a lifetime. A good buy.

Good but I'd have liked Nutritional info guide for the recipes
Just got this so I'm still working through the details. However, I don't like that it doesn't provide the nutritional info against any of the recipes. Perhaps this is coming in the recipe book coming out separately later this year? I know we aren't to be "counting" calories but I'd still like to understand what they are. It gives me a reference point and allows me to mix and match better. I'd also have liked a "pull-out" like section to use on a day to day basis as a reminder etc.Lastly, I think Amazon should allow that if you buy the book you get the kindle version free or vice a versa so readers can get the most out of the contents and more usability!

This Book and Plan Work for Me.
I love this book and program. I bought in on Kindle. And will get it hard back. I have been using the recipes and exercises for 3 days. I feel wonderful. I don't have the program down, but even my novice work is encouraging to me. The recipes are easy to follow, pictures help see them on your plate and check it. The diagrams and exercise section is very complete and is also easy to follow. You do break a sweat and are working. Great investment.

Take a pass
I thought by all the information on the web this book may be a good resource of recipes and advice. While I like the exercises included in the book the recipes are not for the average person. Unfortunately, smoked mackerel crudités, sesame tuna steak and Courgette Bolognese are not favs in our home! If you are interested in eating "spa" like food this book may the answer for you. Also, the author says if you don't like it don't eat it but goes on to say to follow the recipes closely in the beginning of the "Method". There is no guidance on how to may your own meals (other than low GI foods and protein at each meal).

It has changed my life to the better.
The Louise Parker Method really works in the long run. I have used it for 4 years starting w a personal 12 week programme with one of the dieticians from her clinic in the UK and I now use this book and the cook book to continue being inspired. It has changed my life to the better.

Great way to create a base of positive thinking for whatever you want to accomplish.
While I don't like someone telling me what to do (meaning what to eat), and am stubborn, I really like the mindset chapters in this book. They are a great way to create a base of positive thinking for whatever you want to do, and can be applied to anything you want to accomplish, so just for that alone, I highly recommend this book.

Explain better the logic for the food selection
It's not a very compelling book.It has recipes and exercises you should follow and that's fine however you cannot expect to be limited to that selection for the rest of your life. The book should explain better the logic so you can apply it alone in the future, as you grow and mature the diet process.

This book has completely transformed my life
This book has actually changed my life - not even joking. I was just fed up with not being happy with myself and wanted to be told exactly what to do to get my act back together. I was really ready for change so was totally up for all Louise's motivational preamble. I read the book cover to cover before starting the programme and then spent a week preparing and making sure I had the right kind of food in my house. I have pretty much done everything she says for six weeks, have lost 8 kg and I have not felt hungry once. In fact - I've eaten much more than I normally do and have really enjoyed my food. My energy levels are completely constant which has meant that as well as being able to eat sensibly because I am not famished come meal time, I have also dropped all the bad habits I had which were to do with feeling low energy and only being able to face brain dead activities. Biggest achievement for me - I have not looked at the Daily Mail online once since I started this - I am prouder of that than of loosing the weight as the Daily Mail is such a toxic influence in life and I know I only looked at it when I was feeling brain dead. So - be as cynical as you like but if you are willing to put up with a bit of motivational talk and a few cheesy mantras and are on for just doing exactly as you're told then I don't see how you can fail to achieve with this book. I can't recommend it highly enough.Post script... it’s now six months since I wrote this review. I have stuck to Louise’s guidelines, eating a high protein , low sugar diet with good , healthy carbs but minimal refined white carbs and following a twenty minute work out - at home in my kitchen - most mornings. I have never been happier with my health, fitness levels and figure. I am actually in better shape now than ever but I eat more and enjoy my food more. It has been easy. I also have no expensive gym membership anymore. So yes - six months on I can say this book has definitely transformed my life..and I would recommend it to anyone who is serious about achieving change. Just deal with the cheesy motivational bits - it’s worth it to get the results ..

Excellent - and it works!
I have loved using this book (and the cook book) and what’s amazing is not just that it has worked - most diets work for a while - but that I have stuck at it. I’ve lost weight and kept it off and so has my husband - about 2stone each. It’s been nearly a year and it’s stayed off.I’m not quite sure why LP’s method is so good. But it really, really is. I liked the food and I like to cook, which helps, because it was a huge amount of effort at first because everything is new. But over time I’ve tweaked my old family favourites to suit the method and it’s now ‘just what I do’.Eating nuts as a snack has been a revelation to me. I’ve always tried not to snack between meals but I’m very active and need it. So the snacks help me not go face-down into a packet of biscuits when I’m hungry.I hated the exercises though and did lots of Pilates instead. I’m in the best shape I have ever been in - and I’m late 40’s.

Great book
I like this book. Her advice, the exercises and the recipes are all really good. I was feeling motivated at the start of the year when I purchased it, but this quickly waned. The only recipe I've tried is her overnight oats, which was so nice that I've made it quite a lot over the course of the year. I recently had a read through again and have started following some of the exercises as they're different and quite challenging. She also has a nice approach to getting you thinking about how and why you want to change your lifestyle/shape/diet etc. Is worth having on hand for when you feel like you want a step-by-step guide to improve your overall fitness.

Delicious recipes and easy weight loss!
I love this book. Within the first 6 weeks I lost 12 lbs without ever really feeling hungry. I knew it was going to be different after the first meal I made which was a Smoked Salmon and Goats Cheese Omelet for breakfast. Absolutely delicious! I couldn't believe I could eat this way every morning if I wanted to. All the other recipes are delicious too - even my husband likes them. We are both continuing on this method and it is now more of our lifestyle than a diet. I have to admit that I haven't been particularly successful with the exercises in the book as I am pretty active anyway. But I love the lifestyle advice and the focus on ways you can bring more balance and beauty to your life. I haven't really cracked this either yet, but keep on trying. Really good book, definitely recommend it.

A motivating and delicious book!
Excellent! I have never dieted in my life, but needed to lose the 8 kilos I had put on since having my 3 kids as none of my clothes fit and I was feeling really frumpy. At first, I really resisted the change and spent one week struggling to sleep without my usual plate of pasta or refined carbs. But I managed to resist and have got back my shape! Am so pleased. Strongly recommended! It's also revived my interest in cooking. Thank you Louise
