The media could not be loaded.  I bought these candles to add a little something to the room. They give off plenty of light & they’ve already been knocked off the side table & didn’t break. They look pretty fake when they’re turned off but when they’re on the look real. The “flame” kind of rocks back & forth like a real flame would. So real my husband was trying to blow them out. I let him try for a bit before I fessed up. Highly recommend for a safer candle experience.

These candles give off a nice glow and they flicker like real candles. They are glass instead of plastic so that's a plus..makes them look more classy. The remote control is an added bonus. I put them on a DT charger and will add xmas flowers to make my home more festive. These would make a wonderful gift. Buy them you won't be sorry.Update. I have now purchased these candles 4 times. They are beautiful and make any room more inviting. I ordered a set for my sister's 80 year old employer and when my sister gave her she started to cry..she said they were beautiful. I had to share this with you all.4th purchase.

I have been using my set of these flameless candles for approximately 1 month and have yet to find anything that I am disappointed about. The way the "flame" was conceived is genius, in my opinion. The plastic "flame" floats & dances on a thin wire, that moves as it is subjected to the room's air currents. A shaft of light, shines vertically, illuminating this "flame" and frankly, it looks like it's Real! You can choose from a steady illumination from the candle, or have it vary, approximating & enhancing the illusion that this is a real, burning candle. Currently, I have mine set to vary, as real candle would. I installed lithium-ion batteries (each candle takes 3 AAA batteries) and they have not needed changing yet.By the way - the instructions clearly state that these units use AA batteries & this is patently incorrect. The remote control works well and slightly allows you to vary the intensity. I have not tried the timer feature, as I currently do not have a need for it. On the whole, this was an out of the park purchase, that I could not be more pleased with.

I purchased eight sets of these candles - they are close to being a perfect compliment for the bedrooms and living room. Having said that, they look realistic but do cast hard circles of light onto the ceiling. This is when you know the candles of not real. To get around this I purchased thins sheets of semi-hard plastic that are 90% translucent. I then cut 3 inch circles and place each on top of each candle. The 10% opacity softens the light being cast and now the candles look very realistic. If I was the manufacturer I would include 3 inch lids for the them. One more thing, wish you could reduce the flickering rate - its a little to fast.

This was my second try at battery powered candles on Amazon, my first try with this item. Hoping for the best, I bought two sets of this one, both powered up great on the first try (note AAA batteries). Remotes appear to function well on day 1 - haven't tried out the timers, but the dimmer functions, as does on/off and candle/light buttons. Outer is not glass, it's clear plastic, but I don't feel that hinders luminosity at all. Considering not a single candle of 5 worked from the last set I tried, I have to say I am happy the 2 sets/6 candles I bought here are working as they should. Basic quality standards live!!!Important mention, when you check candle/flickering mode from remote, all three candles (or more, in range of remote) will flicker in sync, taking away from authentic feel for a while. They will break this timing over time, though I didn't track that. It is possible to target the remote to some candles if you need, I figure this may be helpful to those who will be keeping these candles in high up or awkward spots. All in all, if you made it this far and like the look of these, I highly recommend. And, cat/dog friendly! Really can't ask for more, thanks!!

This is a replacement set for an original item that I received for Christmas. The original set was glass and went crashing to the ground when my granddaughter pulled on the table cloth. Although the other set had some nice features, this set is safer and that, in my opinion, is a better option for the time being. Honestly, it has the same effect as a real candle without the glass or the fire.

Bought 1 set, loved it, so I ordered another, and then ordered another. The 3rd set I ordered is nothing like the ones I recieved. I tried to send back, but would have to drive almost 2 hours to the closest ups store, or pay for pick up. I don't feel like I should have to pay to ship back or pay for the gas to drive for an error that wasn't my fault. Guess I'm stuck with the ones I got even tho I dislike them.

Delivered quickly. Brown transparent material surrounding the candle is plastic, not glass. Candle light provides a nice flickering glow sense of peaceful elegance. The remote will work on more than 1 set at a time. I bought 2 sets and will keep the other remote as a spare (puppy loves chewing remotes). Remote turns them on, off, changes the intensity (dim / bright). Wife like them bright. Happy with my purchase; would recommend to anyone. Would make a great gift; especially for a house-warming or use for Date Night!
