Somebody lovingly put this together by hand. It reminded me of old-world craftsmanship, like from the old days. The wooden dowel handles on the tools, the real leather finger grips, the waxed cord in nice colors, the little orange and green shears, the little gold ring thimble, the nicely packaged sewing needles... a super nice kit for the money. I for one really appreciate that we're able to get these things from China, and some workers over there get to make nice things for us and hopefully got a nice, livable wage. And, it would be really great if we all made things like this here, too, right at home. Grateful to those for making a kit that I absolutely love (using it now!), thanks Amazon for having things like this on your store and giving everybody a chance to make a living. :) Note: If I were to improve the kit, I might include a nice little non-toxic case... but that would raise the price, so the little cardboard box is just fine. :) PS: Somebody hand cut the instruction sheet... and i found that rather charming. I now realize somebody far away worked hard to provide this for me. With things harder to get, i'm appreciating more and more. <3 :)

Very easy to use. One of the curved needles broke on me but there was a se one one so it wasn’t a huge deal. I was able to fix my couch which is why I bought this pack in the first place. The thread it comes with is thick. Only thing I didn’t like is the thread is coated in a waxy substance. As I was pulling it through he couch fabric some came off and looked weird but I just wiped it off and it looked fine. Glad I purchased it.

I needed to make alterations on a leather trench coat for Halloween. Ordered this kit because it had decent reviews and was inexpensive. Glad I did because it was money well spent. Recommend if you are in the market for this type of item

I had a pair of moc toe shoes coming apart. I thought I give this a shot. Much to my surprise my expensive shoes have been repaired as well as some knee pads and a few other items. What a handy kit. I highly recommend.

Haven't really used much but it's just what I needed to rewrap my leather steering wheel. I'm about half done and if it doesn't work out well it will be because I've never done this before. Learning process.

I have very minimal experience and have never worked with leather sewing. I have a leather sofa that the seam has separated. I ordered this kit and tried it. It worked very well. Easy to use, the seam was closed, the sofa rescued.I am happy about it.
