Value is much higher, than price!

This is a well written excellent introduction to the work of Anselm Kiefer.

Wonderful book including excellent text and reproductions of work

Its Okay. The pictures are good quality but i have issues with the writting to be honest. I'm not educated to degree level but i dont see why art books have to be aimed at people who are (are we not allowed to enjoy and read about art?!). The author starts a chapter well but seems then wonder off on a tangent, via another 3 tangents, before coming back to his point. He rarely uses separate sentances, seeming to nest points in the middle of paragraphs using commas alone! Most of the works that he is discussing arent pictured near the text, if at all and there is certainly no referencing in the text ( eg Fig 3). It feels like the autor is intentionally blabbering on in an attempt to appear intelegent but just confuses the reader. If you understand something well enough you should be able to describe it in a way that everyone can understand.

Fantastic detailed book containing most of his life's work. Well written. If I could have afforded it, I would have preferred the Hardback version though. The binding doesn't allow for the book to open flat, so as to view the pictures that are spread across two pages. It is a great size book, with slight difference from Hardback.
