Basildon Bond Luxury Writing Pad with 40 Sheets - White, P4TO (178 x 229mm)

I couldn’t believe how hard it was to find a proper writing pad in the shops, I had looked for one unsuccessfully for absolutely ages. In desperation I decided to check out Amazon and found the Rolls Royce of writing pads there. Basildon Bond was always the quality writing paper in my youth but I thought it had gone forever so it was brilliant to find it again. It’s a bit pricey but to be able to hand write a letter on quality paper again makes it worth the cost

In this age of email, any recipient is sure to appreciate a letter/note written on such fine stationery

It seems most reviewers are happy with this Basildon Bond writing pad. However, it seems to me to be excessively expensive for what it is. The page measures 178x137mm and costs about 10p per sheet. This does not seem good value even if the quality is good. Similarly, the envelopes are expensive.

It is nice to write a handwritten letter for a change

I really liked this as I wanted a better quality writing pad instead of the larger note pads.It reminded me of when I was younger and write to pen pals and now I'm older I write to new pen pals and I think this writing pad adds a touch of elegance
