Good Effort
The book is apparently very well researched and it was nice of these “very awesome” people to put it together. It’s also nice that they experienced this part of Spain for themselves. Doing so lends extra credibility to the work, I feel. However, it seems like a well-constructed Cliff’s Notes version of Andalusian history, and not a book for kids as it purports to be. For that reason, I was a bit disappointed. It would make a nice reference tool for a high school or college course.Attribution is not given for most of the photographs; one assumes the photos belong to the authors in those cases. The timeline on page 9 would be more useful if it were on a two-page spread. It’s painful to try to read as it is.I know this is self-published. A bona fide editor would probably have made some useful suggestions. However, the book is useful for my purposes, and therefore I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 3. Authors need to be supported. Thank you - very nicely put together.
