Arrived quick. Screen isn't as bright as my original. Viewing angle very limited. Worth the 17 bucks but not much more.
I am reviewing the LCD touch screen for an iPhone 4s AT&T. This review is going to be as honest as it gets. The screen arrived in about a week directly from China. That didn't bother me as I realize all this stuff is made over there anyway. When I opened the packet that it came in, I found the screen to be very well protected. That was a plus. The tools were fine. They consisted of two plastic levers, a micro slotted screw driver, a micro Phillips, a really pointy Phillips to get the two bottom screws out, a SIM card removal tool, and three guitar pick looking things. They actually came in handy. And a little suction cup that I found no use for. The only other thing you may need is a small knife, and some tweezers. I am an electrician by trade so I have some experience at this kind of thing. Just not anything this small. It is a very slow, methodical, maddening process. Not the task itself, just the fear of dropping a small screw or clip. Or tearing a ribbon cable, or mashing a pin. It took me about two hours from start to finish so settle in. Take your time, and above all, don't force anything. All of this stuff is made to an exacting tolerance. If you have to force it, something is wrong. Stop and evaluate what you're doing. Anyway once the screen was in I fired it up. The first thing I noticed was that the screen wasn't able to attain the same brightness. Where my original screen really was bright and popped, this one had kind of a blueish dimness. Looks more like my old iPhone 3GS. Not bad, just not as nice. The side view is not good at all. If you try and look at it from the bottom or side it really washes out bad. Straight on it's ok. If I ever have problems with it I will update this review. The first hour or so it's worked fine. The bottom line is this. If you are expecting this screen to be good as original manufacturer you will be disappointed. I am getting a new phone here in just over 6 months so this will do just dandy for me until then. If I had paid a guy to put this screen in, I would have been upset, but since it cost me less than 20 bucks, it was worth it. UPDATE #1: Compared my old 3GS with this new screen and found that the new screen is actually brighter. I also forgot to mention the touch functions very well. Swipes and taps register as you would expect and were very responsive.

... company now for the 4S and all have worked great and look great
This is the 3rd screen I've gotten from this company now for the 4S and all have worked great and look great. Make sure when you install the screen that both small cables are pulled threw the hole all the way. The ends would be pretty even, if not, try again. My first time I thought it as right, and it wouldn't plug into the board because it was to short. Luckily I didn't damage the cable, but I wasted a bunch of time having to take it all apart again just so I could fully pull the cable threw. Also make sure you pull the film off the back and you have to reuse the home button. Carefully take the old out out of the old screen and put into new screen. The Philips screw driver kind of sucks in the tool kit. It works alright from some screws and not all that great for other screws. There's also a couple screws that screw into other screws, and those screws are not Philips, but a small straight blade to get unscrewed. There's none in this kit. Make sure you have good light and good eye's!!! The screws are TINY and they are not all the same. Far from it in fact. There's charts you can print out showing screw locations so you can place the right screw on the right spot on the paper so that when it comes time to put it all back together you'll know where each screw goes exactly!!!This screen is a good replacement and the price at under $20 and free Prime shipping is great. That's a big plus for me. So I've done 4's and 4S's. I haven't done any other type of iPhone yet though I did do a iPod once.

Works great, fits great.. screen quality, ok
I bought this screen to replace my cracked iPhone 4S screen. I followed the detailed instructions on the iCracked.com youtube video. Took about 2.5 hours to complete. It's not the easiest thing in the world, but if you take your and keep a steady hand, you'll be fine. The replacement went well. The screen fits just as it should. The 2 connectors were somewhat tough to get seated properly and "click" into place. I had to give them a little more force than I would have liked, but they finally snapped in. Everything went back together just right and it looks as good as new!! Powered it up, and viola! My screen works again! ...now the reason for 4 stars instead of 5: The viewing angle on the screen is pretty terrible. It's so bad that I can no longer look over at my phone in the morning as it lay on my nightstand and see what time it is. When you're looking straight on it's decent. Rotate the phone at every angle and be ready for a color show. Colors fade and turn to gray and at one angle they'll even turn negative. If I wanted a direct factory replacement, I would have spent more than $22. My only reason for replacement was to get the screen working again to save my pictures. Other than viewing angle of the screen, this is a great replacement for a broken screen and I would recommend it.

Works for AT&T IPhone 4S!
Most importantly, broken phone now works! If anyone says their phone doesn't work, I'd suspect they didn't put it back together properly. (I had to try twice to get my wifi working, but that was no fault of this kit.) This is a lengthy process, which takes most 1-2 hours, and there are MANY places you could go wrong putting it back together. Also very easy to lose or accidentally put back screws in the wrong places. The 4 stars are because it does not come with any instructions, a flat head screwdriver (for 2 screws inside which needed that), and the screen may be a bit dimmer than original. I did not need the suction cup or guitar pic tool. It should be noted that heat in the form of a hair dryer or heat gun is required to loosen the vibrator inside to access one of the screws. I followed directions from this Youtube video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8fujLMaxJsw My phone now works completely! Much better than purchasing a new phone! I will say, if you have trouble with close up vision, or don't have a couple hours to try this, it may be worth paying a professional to do. There's around 30 tiny screws in there!
