They're really sturdy and well made
I think these are the exact same boots I owned as a kid, that I used when boating with my dad in the Everglades. They're really sturdy and well made. They're roomy enough for an insole, which is really nice because I spend a lot of time standing in them. I've been wearing them for doing chores around the barn and they've held up great. No leaks, despite hard use. They were too narrow for me in the calves, which I expected based on other reviews, as I have really muscular calves. The first time I wore them I got vacuum suctioned into the boot and got stuck! After this I took a sharp pair of scissors and cut a slit about 3 inches long down the back of the boots. Perfect fit! The cut hasn't gotten any longer, which I feared might happen. Awesome boots, and much cheaper than boots marketed towards horse people.

Trouble with getting them on, and then getting them off is worse!
I am having so much trouble getting these boots on, that when I used them for any amount of time, I can't them off! I like the height of them and the feel when I finally get them off, but I need help to get them off. I almost cut them off but wore them an extra 8 hours while I slept until someone woke up to help me get them off. The narrow opening is horrible. I may cut them to be ankle boots but still am unsure if that will help get them on or off.

Outstanding value. I was blown away
Ok, so right off the bat I'm going to admit that I originally bought these to wear with my Dr Horrible Halloween costume. I didn't want to spend a lot for a costume prop which I might only wear once. But when they arrived I discovered that they were far from being just a prop. These are full blown quality fishing boots which seem to be worth far more than the purchase price. Good, thick, quality rubber. Comfortable inside, good soles. I wore them when my basement flooded and they worked awesome. I may have to take up fly fishing just to use them for real.

Good boots, bad return policy.
Someone in the comments had suggested that if you wear a half size, to order the next size up. This didn't work for me. I wear a 9.5 and ordered a 10, and they are FAR too big. I don't blame Joy Fish for this poor information. To boots themselves are good quality, but the return policy stinks. On top of paying for return postage, they require a $12 check to be included in the box. I'm used to Amazon's generous return policy on clothing. I realize that this is not sold directly from Amazon, but it makes no sense to pay shipping twice (once to get to me, once to get back to them), plus $12. It's not worth my time or energy to box up the boots and send them back for what will end up being a dollar or two refunded.LUCKILY this is for a Halloween costume so I don't have to wear them long. If I double up my socks and pad the toes I can hobble around enough to make this work.

Good Dr. Horrible cosplay boots
Cons: You'll need to remove the logo on the side - easy enough to do with a little pant, but you might even be able to scratch it off if you were careful and took your time. The boots were a little large and floppy, making them mildly uncomfortable to wear for any length of time. If you plan on wearing them for more than twenty minutes, do yourself a favor and get some good insole arch supports - there is absolutely no support included in these boots, so unless you really love standing on hard rubber for hours on end.... Also, as expected, these get very hot, very quickly. If you plan on wearing them for extend periods of time at a convention I would suggest finding a way to make airholes to let your feet breath (or trust me, you will hate your life).Pros: They looked fantastic and are a great way to complete a Dr. Horrible cosplay on a tight budget. They would probably work great as waterproof workboots too, but honestly, is anyone here really buying these for their originally-intended purpose? ;)

FAVORITE EVER
I bought these boots to replace my black muck boots to use in the garden. I live in Florida and my yard gets gross and wet and it's covered in fire ants so I like to wear these anytime I'm out there for protection. My last boots that I got from Wal-Mart were black and in the sun it feels like my feet are being broiled. Not in these though! I have worn them for hours and in full sun and yes, obviously my feet get sweaty in there, but I have never had to take them off because my feet are on fire. This is one of my favorite pairs of shoes ever (no joke) - they are comfortable and fit perfectly.I wear a women's size 8.5-9 (American size) and have pretty wide feet and the size 9 Womens were perfect. The only note I'd make is that they are a little tight through the calf which is fine if you're not wearing pants or if you're wearing very tight pants/leggings. If you're wearing anything thicker than that they might bunch which isn't a huge problem if you're just in the yard. It's not a fashion show out there :)

Better then expected
Used these for a halloween costume (April O'Neal) but I've gotten more use for them in the snow! Surprisingly with wool socks these boots do the trick with keeping my feet dry while I shovel. I even played with my son in the back yard snow in these things and they were perfect. I never expected to use them as snow boots but they are working. One thing for big calve people like myself- you may need to cut slits in the back of the top of the boot to allow for a "comfortable" wear. I cut slits on both boots and they are perfect and the slit isn't growing either.
