I didn't measure out this item before ordering and the handle is shorter than I feel is truly useful. Great for smaller candles but you'll notice the handle length if you're using the snuffer for larger candles or those in hurricane glasses or other, larger candle holders. Aside for that, it's a weighty, good-looking item. The snuffer is hinged on the handle so you can either snuff from the side or go straight over the candle.

My daughter calls this a "flame eraser." She's not four either, she's twenty-four. It does erase the flame nicely and having the bell on a hinge makes it easy to snuff out candles that are higher up. I really like this.

Does the job but it’s SMALL. I bought it thinking it would be good for our outdoor tiki torches but it’s much smaller than that.
