Key Fob Protector
I used this product to go over my replacement key fob to protect it. So I didn’t have to pay $150 for ANOTHER replacement.

Basic Replacement but mixed reviews
likes: cheap, listed for my car, arrived quicklydislikes: no clip to open, too small for the keyfob setting off panic button, had to use a tiny screwdriver to continuously pry open the device and eventually removed the red panic button because the casing is too tight and the pressure would hold down the buttons.note: i am just not sure if the size the the button/battery piece that goes inside this key fob has warped or enlarged over time, but this key fob cannot continue the device without issues. the workaround of removing the panic button is all i can do for now until i find a good replacement that works.

Needs modifying a little. But good cheap option.
I have a 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer and my key ring broke so I ordered this to fix it. You have to brake the old key blade out of the old fob. Then screw it into this new one all of that went perfectly. The only problem I had was when I put the key back together with all the parts in the case was so tight it was pressing the trunk and panic button down constantly. So to fix this I sanded down the backs of the buttons so there was more room to press the button. It worked great after that. If your handy with fixing things then this is a good cheap option.

I had to modify it to get it to work.
The FOB was easy enough to figure out. However, when I closed together, it pinched the internal mechanism so tight that the right (lock) button would get stuck. I tried repositioning it with no luck. I realized that it was too tight by simply trying the buttons with a partially assembled FOB. I applied pressure to simulate it being assembled.HOW TO MAKE IT WORK? I took a Dremel tool and honed (gutted) out the inside of the piece that actually holds the key. Its together now and working fine so I'm going to do my best to post a picture. I honed out (removed material) about a 16th of an inch or so of material inside the red outline.I added a picture of the Dremel tool and bit I used. You can see the removed material also.

Kind of garbage
Just doesn't fit right. Buttons stick. if you compare the plastic housings between the OEM and this one... you can see why it doesn't work. Even tried filing down detents around the buttons.
