Shock Doctor Double Compression Short with Cup (Included). Adult and Youth. Baseball, Football, Hockey, Softball, Lacrosse.

Bought these and the Franklin Slider shorts with the 3020 cup for my 6 year old in size small. He is 60lbs. The Shock Dr is a much better fit. The cup is a little thinner at the bottom to allow for more room between the legs. The shorts fit like compression shorts but stretch enough for comfort. The cup pocket is shaped to match the cup unlike the Franklin shorts so the cup doesn't slide around. My son likes these more and says they are more comfy, however we are keeping both as the Franklin shorts are bit larger and have more room. The reason for 4 stars is that they are not slider shorts. Good buy for those little tykes!

The kiddo just tried these on and response was "Oh yeah, these are fine, I'll wear them." Phew. I've thrown away tons of $$ on other brands b/c of complaints. These were recommended to me by a retail store that didn't have size I needed. I had to order two different sizes because it is impossible to tell from either Amazon or Shock Doctor what would work. To save the res of you the trouble: Youth/Boy's comes in three waist sizes: XSmall = 19"-21", Small = 21"-23", Medium = 23" - 25". My guy has 25" waist and is very slim. Medium fits great, expect it to last the season. The legs are a bit long, I expect they will show below uniform shorts. Wish they came in black.

Shorts are comfortable and the size is appropriate. However, the cup takes some getting use to. Constantly adjusting and the boys get out too much. It seems like it should go down under more. Noticed 2 different pockets for the pointed end and neither seem to position properly to contain the boys while constantly moving and changing stances. Definitely easier to put the cup in the pocket before putting the shorts on.

After spending about $25 for different cups and not liking them I broke down and spent the big bucks (I consider $25 for underwear big bucks) for the shock doctor power sliding shorts with cup.I use this equipment for tae kwon do and because of all the movement and kicking while fighting you want something that is comfortable. And that they are. The shorts are wonderful to wear. The cup is a little large for my liking but it does fit well into the inside pocket. The is no chaffing like I was getting with other cups. I should have bought this in the first place and saved myself some money and would have been happy.

Ordered a Medium for my 10 yr. old - fit perfectly, very secure. Tried another brand and the cup holder was huge and allowed the cup to move around, these did not at all cup holder was appropriate size to keep everything secure. Would highly recommend!

My son says he really likes the fact that these are compression shorts and are comfortable to wear all day during his baseball tournaments. Had to buy a second pair so I wouldn't have to do so much washing!

I bought these for my 13 year old son who plays club baseball. While the shorts fit great (I bought him a small) the cup was way to large!! My son is at that spot where he is too big for youth sizes and too small for adults. Again - the actual shorts fit fine! He weighs 95 lbs and I bought a small for him - cup way to big!

I wish they had athletic supporters like this 30 years ago. My 13 year old son has had two pairs of these now. The first one I bought from a big box store. This past baseball season he wore them for second year and when football came, I decided to go up a size. The price is great, product is great. Just because they are not football specific doesn't mean you can't use them. The main point is the cup! I was able to flex it and the edges are soft, gel like. He says he doesn't notice it.

I have other Shock Doctor products and this is as great a product as any of them, very happy with the fit and the product, very happy with this product.

Comfortable, but the cup moves around a little too much if there are a lot of squating involved.
