Works with chirp on Mint Linux. Who could ask for more?
I'm currently porgramming Quansheng uv5k(8), Baofeng uv-5ra, uv-5r, uv5re plus, yaesu 2011, standard hx-240. Works great with CHIRP on Mint linux. don't know what's on the little CD that comes with the cable, the only software that I'm using is CHIRP.

bulky but it works
this is a HUGE undertaking. there are hundred of cables (not really - just 8) but it is VERY cluttered. would have preferred one that had interchangeable plugs rather than all 8 getting in the way.as for the programming - took NO time to learn and program my radios (I have 10). programming was quick and I was able to set the programming on one radio and simply attach the others, hit send, and within a couple of seconds - verified programming.. I was able to save each programming set should i want to recall how each channel is programmed.

Not what I hopped for.
I know several HAMs that have these and love them. Other than Chirp, none of my programming software would recognize this. As a result it was a $10 waste. I didn't return it because of the 3 radios I use Chirp on.

So and so
Like the other ones I bought, sometimes it works but most it won't, even doing different drivers,

Not bad at all
I like that is is adaptable to many types or radio programming interfaces. It had a slight hiccup with my Yaesu FT60 at first. Only to discover that I am an older man with bad eyesight. I chose the Yeasu FT-65 in the Chirp software. Go figure. With the Yaesu FT-60, it performs as intended. Excellent!

Didn't work
I attempted to program two Yaesu radios with CHIRP and it did not work. There is no documentation and it does not have the necessary connector for the Yaesu FT-2200M. I made an adapter to fit, but couldn't successfully connect to either it or a VX150. It make work fine with different radios, but didn't work for me.

I spent hours... it does NOT work
The included drivers are not original. It took me hours of playing with them to get one to install on Windows 10 and to verify it in Device Manager. The included CD has many drivers, from Windows XP to Windows 7. The included instructions files, one is in Chinese, the other a PDF that does not reflect thae actual installation steps.Once I did get it working (by fooling Windows) I tried the driver with 3 of my handheld radios, a Baofeng, a Wouxon and a Yaesu. None of them worked and the only plug for the Yaesu was too wide to fit into the programming port. The listing includes an offer of support but no address to request it.Garbage!
