These are soft, have good strech, dont bunch up, and are short. They also have plenty of extra room up front.

So I've recently migrated from the boxer brief world to the trunk world. And just as much switch from boxers to boxer briefs was life altering, so too has been the shift from boxer briefs to trunks. I'm never going back. For the purposes of finding out which trunks fit best, I ordered pairs of the Calvin Klein One Low Rise Trunk, the Calvin Klein Steel Micro Low Rise Trunk, the Calvin Klein Body Modal Trunk, and last but not least, the David Archy Micro Air Modal Low Rise Trunk. This review is a cross-comparison of all four types (for those who are comparing or who might find this useful, I ordered a medium size in all of them, and am 5'10 and about 150 with a 31 waist).So what are my findings (of course, your opinion may differ). The most comfortable by far for every day use, were the modal underwear by Calvin Klein and David Archy. Though the Calvin Klein pair fit me slightly better, and seemed slightly more comfortable (and I mean slightly, on a 100 point scale, maybe a few percentage points), for all intents and purposes there wasn't much difference. Both pairs were extremely soft and form fitting against the legs, but had enough of a pouch to keep things in place, but not feel overly constricting. These pairs were perfect for everyday wear. Given that you can get 4 of the David Archy pairs for what it costs to get 1 of the Calvin Klein pairs, there's no comparison - David Archy Micro Modal Air Modal wins with no contest.So what about the other pairs I tried? The Calvin Klein Steel pair was actually pretty great as well, but not best for everyday use. I found this pair to be much tighter generally - the fit around the waist was more restrictive, and the pouch was much less pronounced leading to a much tighter fit. That being said, if you have a night of vigorous dancing planned, this pair of underwear will be sure to keep everything securely in place (which I think is desirable in such scenarios), but you may not prefer such a tight hold. I should add that in terms of sheer aesthetics, this pair has the most... visually appealing look.Lastly, the Calvin Klein One seemed a bit too constricting. More appropriate, perhaps, for someone who wants to wear trunks while exercising? The bands around the thighs were much tighter than the modal models, and thus were not nearly as comfortable for everyday use, but perhaps could be a better choice if you wanted to wear trunks while performing moderately athletic activities? Honestly I don't know, I wasn't a huge fan of those.

Recently, I discovered premium mens' underwear. I had always purchased Champion brand boxer briefs from Costco, and that did me fine. Awhile ago, I began trying some of the various premium brand including Mack Weldon, and others. I was very happy with these boxer briefs, but the price just killed me. These were $15-$30 per pair of underwear. There is no way they should cost that much. Later, my son gave me some Me Undies brand boxer briefs as a Father's Day present. I LOVED these boxer briefs, but they too were $20+ each.I found these David Archy boxer briefs on Amazon. They appear to be made of the same (or very similar) material to the Me Undies micromodal boxer briefs....and at about 1/3 the price. That's all it took for me. They are comfortable, they breathe well and the waist band doesn't roll. They are a great fit, and I would recommend them to any man who wants to move up from bargain box underwear to something more comfortable and premium.

When I first had these in my cart i was skeptical because of the price! Long story short when these arrive I put them on and I Immediately knew that I would never go back to Hanes X Temp or any other cheaper undies! These feel like a second skin, they're soft and cool. Wearing these in 110 degree heat yesterday they kept me mostly dry and they had this wonderful cooling effect when I sweated. I have experienced some riding up the thigh but no worse than the xtemp. If I made any suggestions on improving these I would say make the thighs on the Med slightly smaller and the pouch deeper. Other than that David Archy Micro modal are now my go to!! Thank you

I wish I could give this a higher review, since I thought so highly of the first order I made of this underwear. The fabric was so smooth and soft, and did a real good job at temperature regulation. In general, it seemed to be a great option for both high quality and affordability.However, when I re-ordered them later, they seemed to have undergone some unfortunate redesigns and the quality was definitely inferior to me.They have a new waistband now, which has a fuzzy liner on the inside that pills like crazy. I get the intended purpose of the liner was comfort, and it did feel nice at the beginning, but it fails at durability by deteriorating so badly. They seem to have phased this waistband into their other underwear, as well, since when I ordered their boxer briefs version, it was the same liner. I much prefer the old version of the waistband in terms of how it holds up over time, even if it isn't as wide, or at the very least they should improve the new material so it doesn't pill so badly.Also, when I first tried on their new version, the fabric of the first pair completely ripped at the seams when I barely even pulled at it to put it on. I'm not sure if this was due to the stitching or the fabric itself, but clearly the quality had taken a toll. They were nice enough to send me a new pack, though, which I greatly appreciated. I haven't had such issues so far with any of the other pairs so far, so maybe it was limited to that pair of trunks.I held myself off from giving a negative review--because of them sending me the new pack--but now even the old versions that I find myself reaching more towards have let me down. Recently, I got a hole right at the bottom of one of the trunks where a lot of the seams intersect. Because of the location of the hole I feel like this issue is due to the fabric itself being weak and tearing near the seams again rather than friction or something, since that's normally between the thighs. I understand that all underwear can get worn out eventually from long term use, but clearly there's an issue of durability here when it's only been a little over a year since I've had the trunks (I made the first order back in July of last year and the second order in May of this year). I feel this is unacceptable for underwear that's over $30 and marketed as "luxury" and "high quality. It doesn't make sense for underwear as expensive as this to get outlasted by my cheap department store underwear.Honestly, this is all really disappointing, since I had such a high opinion of the underwear and of David Archy as a brand at first. I thought I'd finally found a really affordable, high quality, luxury-feeling underwear brand, and I was seriously considering switching to this brand completely, had the quality continued to deliver.

Definitely more comfortable than the cheaper stuff I normally get. Have held up very well in the 10 months since purchase, still very much like new. Maybe I need to wash my underwear more often..Overall happy with the purchase, they were a bit pricey but everything is and I'm cheap.

Comfortable for the most part but the waist band could be made of softer material
