Kellum Fang
I recently purchased the Kellum Fang after several weeks of research. The important factors for me were, the knife had to be full tang, the blade and handle each needed to be the approximate width of my hand. The knife had to have perfect balance. The knife had to be a good slicer for food preparation, gathering, good for carving and delicate work, but strong enough to take down small saplings and be used for self defence. It would back up either a small forest axe or a Becker BK2 while in the backwoods. The knife had to be made out of carbon steel and be fairly easy to sharpen and be able to keep an edge for a long period of time under normal use.The blade is 4.7" long and came from the factory as sharp as any razor I have ever owned. The handle is absolutely beautiful and fits my hand perfectly for any type of cutting angle. The knife and sheath are works of art and function extremely well. I have been using the knife on several different materials already including some pine and cedar carving. I was still able to slice through paper like butter after several hours of use.I would highly recommend this knife to anyone. After using the knife for a little while, I believe it is sturdy enough to be the primary knife in a survival role.

quality issues
The stitching on the sheath is poorly performed and crooked. The blade to bolster fit has gaps I didn't expect with Kellam. You can get better custom made scandinavian knives with Lauri blades, for cheaper.

Great bushcraft knife!
I absolutely love this knife! High quality Puuko knife at a great price. One of the few knives I’ve bought that showed up razor sharp. Handle is thick but very comfortable in my hands. Sparks a fero rod too. I don’t baton my knives so I can’t speak to it’s ability to do this but more than likely could. Full tang but a rat tail tang. Some don’t trust thes as much but if you’re using the knife s it’s intended to be used it will be fine. Love the sheath but am not in love with the belt loop, I think it may be the one weak link in the whole package.

Old world craftsmanship. Heirloom for sure.
First impressions are good. This is old world quality. Flawless edge. Superb artifact. I have carved with it a bit. No hard use, and i do not plan on it. I will let some other yahoo baton this knife. This is for intricate delicate craftwork of making traps, serving dinner, whittling to past the time. Fishing too will be on the list. Baton wood is for small axe not this baby. Pure joy to wield.

Great option for a traditional style knife
Finally a knife handle that fits my large hands! No hot spots, sharp corners, and came hair popping sharp. Great option for a traditional style knife.

Love it.
Excellent! First I bought the smaller KPR4 Kellam and was so impressed that I got the Fang as well. This is a full size hefty knife hevyer than my previous.Have in mind that the handle is very thick and good for large hands for long heavy work.I love high scandy puukos and this is an authentic one having a time proven design for the blade geometry, handle and overall ballance. However I do not recommend battoning with it- the bolster may come loose. The ultimate wood working knife IMO.

Kellam Fang, a great addition to my collection of usable functional knives.
This knife is gorgeous and functional. Fits well in my hand and has a great weight and feel. The blade is carbon steel which requires a bit more care but I look forward to the patina it will develop over time with every use.
