Saturator Disrupter Electronic Water Gun

This is a pretty amazing product, especially given the low price. The gun shoots pulses of water that are generated by a gear-driven piston. The piston being being cocked against a spring and then released about 3-4 times per second shoots water about 15 feet with a machine gun-like clatter. As the product description says, the water tank is removable; it slides in and out easily, and holds probably about 20 ounces of water. The quality of construction is excellent, and includes features that I wouldn't have expected at this price (for example, there is a nicely designed seal where the feed tube enters the water tank, so even turning the gun on its side doesn't dump water everywhere). I hooked mine up to a microcontroller and motion detector to train our dogs not to go up a stairway, so I was really pleased that - unlike the product image on this page - the model I received was molded in clear plastic. Not only was it fun to see how the gun operates, it made it easy to tap into the circuit to fire the gun by remote control.

Every year when we put fresh mulch around the house, you'd think we'd opened up an outhouse for cats! They love pooping in fresh mulch, especially if it's not in their yard. I've had one of these water guns now for three years. I usually don't get close enough to the cats to wet them, but the sound and the water hitting even close to them sends them home. I love cats, but I'd prefer that they party in their yard.

Did not spray water at all. Mechanics of it seemed fine but no water spray.
