Surprisingly Good vs Gelly Roll Glaze
(In this photo, the glittery areas are from Sakura Gelly Roll Stardust pens; the rest is a mix of Gelly Roll Glaze pens and the 3D Glossy Jelly pens that are the subject of this review.)I've been using Sakura's Gelly Roll Glaze pens for years, and came across these a few weeks ago. The price is remarkable by comparison, so I ordered a couple of sets.I've put these through their paces, and I'd say they're a very good deal when you stack them up price-wise against the Gelly Rolls. The differences in performance are pretty subtle: these have a broader tip; they don't dry quite as evenly; and they seem to have a higher surface tension, which draws the ink together with itself (and to other inked areas that have already dried) as it dries: it's easy to end up with a couple of ovals or circles in your work if you're filling in an area and you don't put enough ink down. That said, the 3D Glossy Jelly's are surprisingly consistent in how well the ink flows; I'd say they outperform the Glaze pens in that respect. One unfortunate side-effect of the rapid flow is the buildup of ink on the tip which dries after you cap the pen. I've taken to wiping the tips with a tissue before I use them to make sure they're clean, which helps avoid clumps. The most notable differences in terms of the appearance of their output are that the colors of the 3D Glossy Jelly pens are different than the comparable colors of Glaze pens (of course), and the gloss of the 3D pens may be very slightly less reflective, though I'm not certain of that. The upshot: if you like the Sakura Gelly Roll Glaze pens, you aren't likely to be disappointed with these, especially at this price point.

Really great pens for certain situations
Not sure if others got counterfeits or a bad batch but I really like these pens. I use them on a non porous specialty paper and they work GREAT. They dry super shiny and the ink flows really well. They have a very bold point, not for fine detail. They are definitely not metallic as both the listing and the caps would lead you to believe. I wish the white was more opaque. This is also not a puffy paint pen, the 3-d is just that the ink does stay slightly raised and shiny, but it is not dramatic.

Not good.
So I bought these a while back. I had bought a lot of pens so I opened them & scribbled with them real quick to make sure they worked but thats all. About 2months after buying I went to use them & half of the 12 no longer worked. I was able to shake & scribble a few to work but the ink was not 3d like it says&shows in pics. I use glaze & other 3d inks way before these&now so I know. I never not buy pens bcuz they may dry out before I get to use them. I have hundreds of pens all different brands & prices never had a problem. I have pens 3+yrs never used, stored properly & I grabbed them after these didn't work just to see & they wrote right away with out shaking or scribbling. Also another couple I got ink flow eventually but skip alot & no 3d. I have 2 that work but aren't 3d. I don't remember if when I tested the day they came if they were 3d bcuz I had so many pens in that order. So unless your gonna use them up right away I suppose I don't recommend. I don't know if the pens have a shelf life but I did not see any dates or mention of one. Again I am a pen addict & I've never once in 30yrs considered not buying pens bcuz they won't work. That's just my experience & opinion. Oh and I emailed sell a little less than 2mons after purchasing & never heard back. Good luck!

Great glossy pen for coloring.
I actually really like these. Very similar to the Sakura Glaze on paper, but at an excellent price. No, they're not glitter, but the description doesn't claim them to be. It's a high gloss 3D pen. Slightly raised on card stock coloring paper. Haven't used on anything else. I bought a second set as a backup.

Too good to be true because it's not
First, these pens took forever to receive. Ordered on Nov 19 and I didn't receive them for a month. Next, I tried using these on paper and they are no different than normal gel pens. Then I remembered that the listing says it only works on non-porous surfaces. As a test, I used it on my lotion bottle. When it dried, it's a bit raised but I'm not sure I would call it "3D". I guess if you needed to write on shiny surfaces and don't want it to smear this would be fine but they're definitely not what was described.

A great substitute!
I was originally going to order 2 of these bc the price is awesome, but decided not to after reading the reviews. Now I wish I had! I think the reviews are comparing the pens to Sakura, they are NOT Sakura 3D. They are nice though. The barrels are not the best and yet very adequate with 1.0 ink flow. The ink is raised and does leave a 3D effect. Maybe not as raised or the same as others, but it is still raised and in my opinion they are vibrant and beautiful. Give em a try I think they are worth having and it saves me from always having to use up the very expensive pens on the smaller jobs.

I love these pens!
I am really surprised by some bad reviews of these. I use them with my glaze, souffle and aqualip ,they are as good and much more affordable. They are super fun, bright and versatile. I would put them as a sort mix between aqualip and glaze yet different enough. They also come with a little blob on tip to protect the ink from drying out like the glaze and others.

You get what you pay for..
I saw these and immediately thought of the Gelly Roll gel pens. A slight smile spread across my face as I thought of the vibrant colors and the way the pens glode on the paper in such a smooth format. I thought these would be similar and I was mistaken. They are the cheaper version in all ways. The colors run. I thought they would be glitter pens because the cap is glittery and they are not. The colors are dull. You get what you pay for but I won't be purchasing them again. In fact, I bought a 12 pack of the name brand Gelly Roll just to make up for this silly purchase...
