The layout was bad
I returned this book not because of the content but because the book was so poorly laid out. Poor font size and font style made the book unappealing, and I felt little thought went into the design. On a lot of pages, the font is very small and hard to read, yet left a lot of blank space where the font could have been a bit larger. On other pages, the font is entirely too large, takes up two pages, and letters become hidden in the binding. This is a nice size book but for the price, I expected a well-designed book.

Absolutely worth the money.
This was beautiful both aesthetically and in content. By turns heartwarming, thought-provoking, and funny, this book is one that I’ll wish I could read for the first time all over again.

Great book - seller not so great
I thought the book would make a great gift for my "foodie" friend and decided to buy one for me too. It took a VERY long time to get the books and when I opened them up, I noticed that one of the books was obviously a "second" quality product. Luckily, the other book was in pretty good shape (although still a "second") so I was able to give the better one away as a gift and keep the bad one. The book is very cool and my friend loved it but it was pretty misleading that the vendor sold "second" quality products without identifying them as such.

ideal present
Got it from Oprah and gave it to my best friend for her birthday. The book is not a cookbook, per se, but it is nicely made up, expensive cover, nice print, and the articles by the respective chefs are interesting - even for non-gourmets. It is about DIN A 4 format and heavy. Bottom line: great gift!
