Even better than the crew socks for those unhappy occasions when my ankles are puffy, or when its a bit warm out yet i want the toe-cradling comfort of my Sol!ate socks. The lower profile means no sliding down and bunching. My only woe is that these low-rider socks don't come in all the colors that are my favorites among my Solmate crew socks. I would be all over these in B&W Midnight, patriotic Stars & Stripes, any of the autumnal pallettes or the new Elements series. Hint hint Solmate!Oh, I have peripheral neuropathy in my feet and the patterned Solmate line is my choice for medical reasons, being cushiony due to the multiple soft cottony yarns needed for the patterns. Yet unlike some patterned socks they wear like iron. Pity I can't claim them as medical supplies on my taxes.

If you’re going to wear socks, as most of us do, why not have a little fun with it? I have several pairs of longer Solmate Socks, and now two pairs of this shorter option. With all the colors each pair offers, they’re easy to match to outfits and accessories, and they really strut their stuff with casual sandals like Keens. They’re also soft, thick enough to offer sufficient cushioning and comfortably warm — but breathable — without being overly hot. I’ve been tossing mine right from the washer into the dryer set on low temp, and then removing them promptly, and thus far they’re holding up well. Someone around here who shall remain nameless accidentally tossed one lonely (new) sock into a wash load with bleach and, while it did fade, intentionally bleaching its partner via the same method netted a still-usable pair that’s just not as vibrant as I’d prefer. I have noticed a few loose yarn dangles or loops in brand-new Solmate socks, but I’m endeavoring to view them as part of the charm of this product rather than seeing them as defects. I will buy again.

My mother-in-law picked up a pair of these in the mountains and gave them to me for Christmas. I wore them the whole week after christmas for walking around the house at night and I have to say these are the best socks I have ever had on my feet! They are warm, but not too warm, they are soft, fit well and have the best grouping of colors in them! The construction is the best I have seen in any sock in a long time. I would recommend these socks and will buy more for my nieces for next Christmas!

Love these socks. Whimsy and warmth are the specialty of these socks in my opinion. I prefer the ankle height, and wish there were more color options. I like that they are made in the USA, as well as being made of recycled materials. My daughter, mother in law, and sister in law all wear them.

I ordered some last year and loved them (they were a splurge). I needed some heavier socks after foot surgery to protect the healing incisions once I was transitioning back into shoes. I knew these were the ticket, but I needed a few more pairs. They are well worth the price. They are not only functional but fun to wear.

Love these socks. I always wear a 9/1/2 in sneakers, shoes, etc. I ordered the Large and they fit perfectly. I ordered the Large because they did shrink a bit. Colors are nice and bright. They are not too tight in the ankle area. Hate socks that are so tight they leave marks on your skin, these socks are perfect. Highly recommend.

I would never buy these socks again...they are very pretty and at first they fit very nicely. When wash them and put them in the dryer they shrink terribly and threads where the colors join together begin to unravel. They are terribly overpriced. I do not put them in the dryer and they need to be reshaped and dried flat like you would a sweater that you would handwash and dry flat. I don't have time to pamper socks like that. Not worth the price

There was no size given on the website description but, as I had bought the purple pair which were UK large, I took a risk and bought these. They were a UK size 3 and so were too small for me. I passed them onto a friend who was thrilled with them. I love Solemate ANKLE socks (Large UK) and am not sure why they are not available in more colours than purple. Otherwise they are really lovely fun coloured socks, really comfortable and excellent quality.

Really soft comfortable socks that keep my feet warm and dry - and looking really great. Love the colours. Well made and durable and great at retaining colours after each wash. I love these socks and wish they did more colours in ANKLE socks (UK Large), like "Sweatpea" and "Earth" for example.

Have about 7 pair of them .. Did not know they had the shorter ones and I do like them as much as the longer ones . Good quality and quite a conversation piece !!

These are very cute. They look exactly like they do in the photo. 3 stars because the quality and the price don't match. The price is high. But they are very cute and soft.
