The packaging is heavier that the charger. My first impulse was that I had made a big mistake. Once free of the massive plastic and cardboard box, I held a compact, well built item that can go with me anywhere. It is intuitive in what charge it gives what item so no risk when charging items that require different amounts of power. Two ports which is excellent! I have not yet had a change to see how long it will last but will add to my review after a two week long walk in May in harsh conditions. I have high hopes that this is the only power brick I will have to carry.The caribiner is not very well made. The lock down ring has no stop. The quality of the charger is very good and the caribiner seems to be less quality.I am very happy with the Posiden and look forward to years of use.

I have been looking for a really good power bank for my EDC bag, and after seeing Ben's channel on YouTube (Living Survival) do his review of this product, plus I've also seen the review of it on other channels, it did help a lot on the decision process of purchasing this product. I also researched the website of Dark Energy on this product and found that if the military can't destroy it it must be good. I have it fully charged and ready to use it soon. Check out some of those channels on YouTube if you haven't already, they are great guys, do really good non bias reviews, and may just help you in your next purchase. Side note: some of the channels have their own Amazon sites, to save you some money.

Great product. Charges my iPhone 5s with no problem. However the usb charging cord connector already bent on me. I ended up having to use another cord I had to charge it

Awesome product overall. Great finish and feel. Pretty well designed with good software. Very intuitive. I gave this product 2 stars because although it seems excellent, it failed on my first day of use. I had a solar panel attached to my backpack with the charger in the brain of my pack while hiking the PCT and the micro USB port failed on me during my first day. In order to allow charging, I now have to bend the cable towards the LED lights and hold it in place. This is unacceptable for my use. I do however, rate customer service at 4 stars. All said and done, they sent me a replacement, new in package with accessories and all, as a replacement. The shipping was quick, and customer service was friendly. So I now have one device that doesn't work very well and one brand new one that works just fine so far. I probably won't be taking it out backpacking with me again to charge via solar panel while hiking, though.

I saw the amazing features on a variety of YouTube sites and I made sure to do ample research about the item, but when I received it, it was already malfunctioning. I tried charging my Samsung S6 Edge and it would charge on and off. I tried my Moms IPhone and the same happened. Also, the flashlight would not turn on and when it did, it would flicker on and off when charging. I truly liked the features I saw as well as the build quality and capability, but I was saddened with the product I received. I really hope it was just mine, but for now, I'll refrain from spending a large sum on something like this. The return process was simple, so that was a plus. Since writing this review I found a very well made 10,000 mAh power bank from Aukey that is not waterproof, but has 3.0 Qualcomm charging, 2.4 smart charging, a flashlight, and very sleek design for 1/3 the price.

I originally thought this was going to be a very high tier product from the advertising I had seen and was in the market for a portable charger so I pulled the trigger on this. I regretted it about 2 months later. The hinged door broke on one side about a week after I had it because it’s just made of a cheap plastic and then it broke entirely off about a month later. The LED “flashlight” hasn’t worked for me at all since I even received it in the mail. I figured I just didn’t know how to use it and it wasn’t a big deal to me anyways so I just disregarded it. I should’ve returned it then and saved myself the trouble. The only thing it does as advertised is charge your phone or devices. It’s a great portable charger with a large capacity and I use it to charge a lot of my devices around the house but I bought this because it was advertised as waterproof and indestructible. Which now mine has proven to be neither. Wish I could get my money back and just purchase a different portable charger that I know isn’t “waterproof and indestructible.”

So far I'm loving this thing, I throw this in the bag every time I'm out and about whether it be hiking, camping, or exploring the city, and it's come in handy quite a few times. I've charged an iPhone 6, 6s, and iPad 2 times each off of one charge of the Poseidon and it had more juice left at the end. The included carabiner and strap make it really easy to clip in/on your bag for easy access/not getting mixed up with everything else in the bag. The flashlight is pretty bright, and the SOS feature is sweet. Overall I can't say enough good things, great job from Dark Energy!
