it was good
It was good just the character was annoying at time and there were a lot of sentences that made no sense and I had to figure it out myself but I mean overall it was good .

The Wind Dragon MC Series by Chantal Fernando is off to a very good start with the release of Dragon's Lair.
I have been looking for a MC series to sink into. The Wind Dragon MC Series by Chantal Fernando is off to a very good start with the release of Dragon's Lair. I could not put the book down and finished it in one sitting. It kept me mesmerized. The characters came to life, the Dragon MC brothers captured my attention. The club dynamics were interesting. This brotherhood had a combination of diverse men that made their own laws in life. The women that were important to these men were strong, self sufficient, and had an important place in the club, whether they were a club whore or an old lady.Dex and Faye have known each other all their lives. They came from prominent families that placed an importance on their status in the community. Dex has always been the older brother Faye needed. He sensed her loneliness as a child. He made sure she knew she was an important part of his life. As they grew older, Dex moved on. Faye became her own woman. She was an intelligent law student with the perfect boyfriend. She focused on her achievements and tried to move past her family's expectations. When she catches her perfect boyfriend cheating on her something snaps inside. She is no longer content being the perfect girlfriend, the perfect daughter, and perfect student. She wants to experience life outside of her small world. She makes the decision to step out of her comfort zone and begin living. One night out and a one night stand will change everything in her life. She hooked up with a biker. That biker was the man she had built her childhood dreams around. The man she no longer really knows. That one night leads to her being pregnant. When Dex catches wind that Faye is pregnant the rules of the game change. He takes her into his protection. He makes her a part of his life. He installs her in the Wind Dragon's clubhouse. He wants to make sure their child is brought into the world safely. He would do anything for Faye and his child except make her his old lady. He has his reasons and he's not sharing them with Faye.Faye will flounder around in her new world. She is exposed to a lifestyle she never knew existed. She will have to turn a blind eye on the shenanigans that are going on daily. She will have to learn to turn the other cheek. She will have to learn not to have expectations as far as Dex is concerned. She will have to draw on her wits and inner strength to survive in Dex's world.Faye will find new strengths she never knew she had. She will find a new family that values her. She will make new friends and new enemies. She will become a woman to be reckoned with. She will learn how to handle Dex. She will show him that her love is more than an old childhood friendship. She will show him what a true partner is. She will earn his respect and the respect from the brothers.I absolutely loved this book. Not only were the leading characters powerful, the secondary characters also demanded my attention. The club dynamics and comradery was enthralling. The entire story kept my full attention. When I finished the book I was dying for Arrow's book to release. I am invested in the Wind Dragons MC series.

DEX - YES PLEASE!!!
When I read that Chantal Fernando was going to be re-releasing Dragons Lair and adding more to this story, I was excited. I’ve read all of Ms. Fernando’s books and loved them all. Dragons Lair is different from the MC reads that are out today. Normally they are dark and gritty but you won’t find that in this one. Ms. Fernando brings us a funny and light-hearted MC book. I read the first version of this book and while I was reading the new edition I could definitely see where the author added more to the story. The main characters are lovable, intriguing and very well developed. The story is told in Faye’s POV and let’s just say even when things are bad she cracked me up. Dragon’s Lair was fast-paced and just like how the main characters were relatable and intriguing, I could not help but fall in love with the other members of the MC. Arrow, Tracker, Vinnie and the Prez Jim.Faye’s character is so funny, lovable and strong. She does not shy away and has a mouth she is not afraid to use it. Throughout this book there was never a time I got tired of her character. Faye catches her boyfriend Eric cheating on her in their home, so true to her character, Faye does the only thing she can think of. She gets drunk and has a one night stand with Eric’s brother Dex. Faye, Eric and Dex grew up together but Faye has always wanted Dex. I loved how the author goes back and shows readers how even at a young age Faye knew Dex was going to be hers someday. Faye thinks one night with Dex is all she needs, but that one night throws Faye right into the welcoming arms of Dex and the Wind Dragon MC.Dex aka Sin is a total alpha male. He is controlling, sexy and does not play games. What I really loved about Dex was that he is not arrogant and cold. He’s gentle and caring and he only shows his bad biker side when he is out on runs with the MC. Even when he makes mistakes he owns up to them. He wants to do things right with Faye. He wants to take care of her, protect her and give her a life she deserves.“It means you’re mine now.”The connection, chemistry and banter between Dex and Faye is so natural and easy going I could not get enough of them. The members of the Wind Dragon MC’s thought they were in control but Faye turns there world around and things get really funny.Of course this is a MC book so it has that element of danger from rival MC’s. I loved all the members of the MC, they grew on me and added so much to this story. The closeness of the brother hood and their acceptance of Faye was delightful to read. We are introduced to Arrow’s character and I have a feeling his book is going to put me through the ringer. I can’t wait until it comes out.

pretty good!
Off the bat, I like how fast paced this was. I know fast paced books aren’t everyone’s taste, but as someone who gets bored easily, this book was perfect! I was a big fan of the character development on everyone, especially Arrow. I really like how the author paved the way to Arrows book (book 2). Arrow was talked about just a bit more than the rest of the side characters, which i enjoyed, because I like to get a little insight on characters in previous books before they get their own story.I usually don’t like pregnancy tropes but this one I shockingly really enjoyed. I saw a few comments of people saying they didn’t like how her pregnancy wasn’t realistic or whatever in this story, but I honestly couldn’t care less 😂. I know absolutely nothing about pregnancy or birth so it didn’t bother me too much. Overall, this book was a great start to the series! I’m excited to see what Arrows book is like.

bom
Uma história interessante, com cenas sexuais bem light (não são excitantes), mas mesmo assim uma história envolvente. Aconselho como leitura rápida.

This is the type of MC book I like!
This is the type of MC book I like! It's a little bit gritty, but it's not mired in darkness. The biker bad boy is a little bit moody and broody, but he's all squishy in the inside for his girl and his girl is a firecracker with a brain.I didn't like how Faye and Dex came together as adults (he picked her up a couple of days after she dumped his brother for cheating on her) but I loved them as a couple.I loved their history and I loved their chemistry. They were sweet and sexy and a lot of fun to read about.Faye is not the type of girl you'd expect to become a biker's old lady but she quickly fit right in and the bonds she built with the rest of the brothers was a highlight for me.As a whole, the book was far from perfect. The characters could have done with some fleshing out and the plotline and execution could have been less messy but it was entertaining enough that it didn't bother me as much as it probably should have.I liked the men of the Wind Dragon's MC and I want to read more about them.I'd like to read more about what makes them tick and I want to see them get their HEAs!If future books in the series could come with a bit more substance then that'd be the cherry on the cake for me but I'm going to keep reading regardless!

5 laugh out loud Stars
I have not read so many MC books in my life so far, very few disappoint and this one was no different. Dragon's Lair is a first read for me from Chantal Fernando. It is the first book in the Wind Dragons MC series. This is Faye's story and she has loved Dex since she was a little girl. But life changes and she then starts dating his brother. Faye discovers her boyfriend is cheating when she walks in to find her best friend with him. She then runs into Dex and decides to throw caution to the wind and have her one night with her childhood love Dex. This results in her getting pregnant. Her parents through her out and Dex finds out and he is ready to accept his responsibilities. They say death is easy, it’s living that’s hard. I love my life, and I wouldn’t say it was hard. But I understand when they say death is easy, because those people who pass away don’t have to live with the sadness and the pain of losing someone. There was so many points in this book where I was laughing out loud, that’s always a good thing in my opinion. The funny and the serious... makes a book go from good to excellent for me. This is one hot read and I couldn't put it down. Would highly recommend picking up one of Chantal's books. I've gone straight into the next book in the series.

3.5 rounded up to 4 stars.
★Review★I really did like this, but in all honesty it read a bit like "Carry on Biker"However, it was enjoyable and as long as you do not take it so seriously then it is a fun read.Faye was funny, sarcastic and had a tendency to speak before she thought. I did like her, but at times it felt like that was all she was, all there was too her.Would have liked more from Dex and more from the actual MC side of things. However, it had a great cast of secondary characters, who you just hope get their own books - like Arrow for one.Overall, it was a good read, however, it never got too in depth with anything. A fair few months pass in the book, and a lot happens, but it never got too detailed. It felt almost at times, like reading a list of things that should happen in an MC book.I found myself wanting more, more about her relationship with her parents, and some closure on that, more from their past history as kids (she is twenty) and though it is mentioned she had a crush on him, he was always too old for her, it never says how old she is, wanted more closure with her ex.But, overall, it is a non taxing, light enjoyable read that can pass a couple of hours, and leave you wanting to read more of the brothers of the MC.★Book Basics★Genre : - Contemporary RomanceSeries : - First in the seriesLove triangle? - NoCheating? - No - there is the suggestion of cheating, but nothing happens, not once they are both together once he knows she is pregnant.HEA? - YesWould I read more by this author? - YesRating - 3.5 rounded up to 4

Great read and a nicer MC story
Dragons Lair had me hooked from the offset and loving every minute of it! I have to admit, I LOVE MC books.. I have read tonnes and do tend to pick at things in these kind of books, but I bloody loved this one! It wasn't your typical dark and edgy MC books that we tend to get. Instead it is a somewhat lighter read that packs twits and turns throughout to keep your attention fixed to the end. This story is about Dex and Faye. Dex is not your typical jerk male in a book, he is still very controlling and dominating, but still holds that little adorable touch that softens his bad boy biker image just a tad for us. While Faye, she is on the run. Very much has her own mind and definitely not going down without a fight. Her ex is Dex's brother.. which could make things awkward when you then throw another spanner in the works. Throughout the book you have that inkling that something is not right, and when you find out, its a shocker! Will they sort out their differences and make it? You'll have to read to find out!If you love biker stories - like me! Then you will definitely want to get this story. It is fast paced, has shocking plot twists and really relatable characters that you love immediately. Hoping for the next installment for this series.. Arrow, hint hint ;)
