Love these blanks, the different sizes offer different designs for a beginner in pyrography the small sizes offer learning techniques on small scale so you can feel confident to use in larger sizes. I would recommend these to any beginners in pyrography as they are good quality of wood too.

Although I can make use of these, I was a little disappointed at how thin they were, from the photos. Although they took paint and napkin decoupage well. I had to sand a lot of them down as they were quite rough, so because of the time this took I would not buy them again...**Update to the review, after painting and decoupaging ( with wet glue), I found that the wood started to buckle, so I'm having to 'double up' to try and stop this happening** sorry but NOT good value for money

Bought to use as practice wood on a desktop CnC/laser engraving machine, the CnC hasn’t arrived yet so can’t comment on that aspect, however the wood is straight and solid and tightly packed, no chips or hollow points, they have a slightly rough texture which would be good if you’re planning on using these to paint on, I’ll update my review once they have been on the CnC machine

Nice pieces of woods to start trying pyrography on, cheap enough that if the design doesn’t go quite right it’s not a great expense wasted

The 2mm ply was warped and had higher percentage of water in the middle ply.This made the dry surface cut but failed after 8 passes to cut on a 5W laser.Other Amazon 2mm pre cut packs had/still work with my laser.Returning for refund

Well worth the purchase for pyrography materials for daughter in law. She is having so much fun designing and buring patterns. Keeps her busy. Arrived promptly.
