I bought this as an upgrade to my existing DVR which was 700TVL but not HD.The cameras show very clear compared to the older after market ones I had. They are the same shape as most of them. The plastic is flimsy and cheap. The cameras move around even when locked. On my original cameras they were metal and durable and once locked they would not move. These see better at night and for a camera that comes with the DVR they are good quality and wide angle so a plus there.The DVR itself works well and I was able to use the existing cables to connect the cameras making no new wire runs.The app is WAY better than what I had before. I was only able to view live feeds before and with this I can view recordings but it is a bit cumbersome. It tends to not work great at first unless you close it and allow it to sign back in. Then no issues. The recorded view seems to get stuck at specific points and randomly accepts feedback. I think I am doing something wrong but who knows. I have been able to make it work over time when I needed to but not sure I would choose to do it that way. I used to have to stand and do it in person so still better than what I had.The QR code to find the DVR and lack of firewall setup makes this simple to setup. It also allows you to do it the manual way but I didn't try that setup.Happy overall and enjoying the higher quality.I removed a star for cheaper quality on the cameras and buggy app but it is still functional and a bargain.

All the way 5 star for this product. Like all, I was VERY VERY skeptical about this product, just due to the low price in relative to all the others on Amazon and retail store. But thanks to all those that gave this product a positive review, I took a chance and ordered the 8 camera set from here Amazon. First of all, I have been researching this home camera system for about 4 months, reading from the cheapest to the most expensive, almost everyone's review counted, by far this is the best price with the most positive review ratio. So to install, like most have said the instruction was a bit light and not very in depth, almost seem as the writer assumed we have done this before, but can't lower the rating base on their writing skill. the camera was easy to install. I live in a 3000 sq ft single story home, and the control box and power box is located in the corner study room about 7' drop below the ceiling, the 60' cable was just enough to the furthest location, but shy of 15' short of the furthers corner, not a big deal (I have spliced one and added 30' extra length, didn't notice quality difference). the cable and connector quality is GREAT, I have test it in relative to Coax, at 60', its just the same. Night vision, its way more than I was expecting, the only issue, not the fault of this product, is the red LED for night vision attracts bugs and they love hovering infront of the camera at night. Day time, Awsome. The controling and HD box, very easy to use, and YES its a bit slow to respond to command using mouse, but don't compare it to your computer speed. I have added an A/V modulator and integrate it to my current cable system, assigned the camera to Channel 2 , so now I can watch my 8 camera anywhere in the house at any time. I have also went to FRY's electronics and compare, the same 60' cable that came with the camera ran for $24.99 ea x8, that's $199.92 just in cable retail price. Couple of sugestion for those that are installing it. The camera comes assemble, so you have to take it apart for installation, very easy, just untwist the bottom and top cover and the camera will come loose, don't tighten until you have gotten the perfect angle, and don't worry about adjusting until you have setup the app, so you can stand outside your house and watch the app as you adjust the angle. I'm not sure about the screws that comes with the package, I sugest to go to HD or Lowes and get some stainless steel screws, its very cheap, couple of bucks and you won't ever have to worry about it rusting, especially its mouted outside. Also its probably a good idea to get a simple 30 minutes standby UPS to the system, so that when you loose power, ti wouldn't keep rebooting due to bad weather, at least a surge protector. Lastly, depending on your TV, the quality of the video will vary, I have test it with the old SD tv - poor quality, HD-TV good quality, Computer monitor-best quality. If you see Snow on just one camera, you have a loose connection on that camera, if snow on all, its just your video out connection is loose. Good luck DIY.

I bought this system about 5 years ago. During that time, I am on my 2nd DVR from them. The first one stopped working after the first 3 months. I contacted customer support, which is located in Japan so in order to communicate to them, it had to be via email and they responded when I was sleeping because of the time variance. So every question I had, I had to ask and then wait until the next day to answer and this went on for over a week before they finally sent me another DVR. During that time, the DVR went "offline" (got the Zosi start up screen) several times, frozen on that screen. Again, had to communicate via email for several days before they finally sent me an upgrade which I had to upload to a thumb drive. That didn't work and again, had to email them several times to get help with that as it wasn't working. Also, getting the system to work with the app to view the cameras remotely was very antiquated and troublesome to get to work. I am very tech savy so it wasn't because I had no clue what I was doing. Fast forward to 2020, and the DVR has stopped working again. I tried to contact support, this time via Facebook messenger and they asked for my order ID right away. I provided it and it was the last I heard of them. I sent several text messages, AND emails with no answer from them whatsoever. I should have listened to the other reviews I read before I bought this.UPDATE: Zosi contacted me and gave me step by step instructions to upgrade the system and was all done via Facebook messenger. The system is back up and running!

The product is what I was looking for good night vision and it’s clear very good video. Jar from customer service was very professional and helpful and solved my issue with in a matter of minutes.
