My new essential accessory
The 7artisans 18mm F6.3 Mark Ⅱ Ultra-Thin APS-C Prime Lens has quickly become a staple in my photography kit. This lens offers excellent quality and a unique convenience that I hadn't anticipated. Its ultra-thin design and impressive performance make it an essential accessory for any photographer using an APS-C camera. One of the standout features of this lens is its remarkable compactness. It is so thin and lightweight that it seamlessly fits onto my camera body, making it the perfect alternative to a body cap. This means my camera is always ready to shoot, even when I am between lens changes. This feature alone has significantly increased my shooting opportunities and reduced the time spent fumbling with lens caps and covers. The image quality of the 7artisans 18mm F6.3 Mark Ⅱ is impressive for such a compact lens. Despite its fixed aperture of F6.3, it delivers sharp and clear images with minimal distortion. The focal length is ideal for a wide range of applications, from street photography to landscapes, providing a versatile shooting experience. The lens produces rich colors and excellent contrast, adding a professional touch to every shot.Build quality is another area where this lens excels. It feels sturdy and well-constructed, giving me confidence in its durability. The metal construction adds a premium feel without adding significant weight, which is a perfect balance for an ultra-thin lens.In addition to its practicality and performance, the 7artisans 18mm F6.3 Mark Ⅱ is also incredibly easy to use. Its fixed focus design means there are no focusing adjustments to worry about, which makes it a breeze to capture spontaneous moments. This simplicity, combined with its readiness, makes it an invaluable tool for quick and candid shots. In conclusion, the 7artisans 18mm F6.3 Mark Ⅱ Ultra-Thin APS-C Prime Lens is an excellent addition to any photographer's arsenal. Its combination of compact design, high-quality performance, and ease of use make it a must-have. Whether you are a professional looking for a convenient and reliable lens or an enthusiast wanting to keep your camera ready at all times, this lens is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended!

It's not perfect, which makes it almost perfect.
I'll be honest, I bought this on a whim. It's basically toy money in the camera world, and I'm traveling light soon. For a modest but fancy dinner price, you get a very useable lens cap that doubles as a hyperfocal 18mm lens. There are no moving parts, after it locks into the camera body it doesn't move. It's unassuming, but only slightly so. It fits on my X-T4 behind the grip end, and on an X-T30 just ahead of the grip. It is nearly flush with the X-T1s grip. There are some caveats for having a small, no moving parts, constant aperture lens:On the X-T4 the IBIS doesn't like it at all. It jerks around a lot. It's mostly fine and usable after you become aware of it's kinda glitchy behavior. If you turn of IBIS it behaves nicely. This is probably true on the X-H1 or X-S10 too. And this is the biggest problem I have with the lens. On a body without IBIS, say my X-T30. It behaves remarkably well.It has a roughly 1 meter or 3 foot close focusing, things are starting to get into focus at that range. And when I say starting, it takes a bit of distance to really get things in focus. I haven't done any exhaustive testing, but 6 meters or 20 feet seems to be the starting area for a sweet spot that extends out for a while. But infinity isn't in sharp focus either. The focus is soft regardless of how steady your hands are. And will never perform well in low light. But that's not the point of this kind of lens. Outdoors in the daylight on the street it behaves very well. Set the camera to aperture priority, and it works great by itself. But I find it blurs a lot at lower shutter speeds, so it doesn't hurt to pay attention to shutter and ISO if you want a truly sharper image. That's it. It's a simple lens with no controls. It takes ok photo's, and at this price it's hard to beat. It's intriguing to me though, and I wouldn't mind a slightly higher quality version of this lens. Something sharper at closer ranges or something sharper at the infinity end. This works great as an across the street snapshot when walking around lens. But so does most of the fuji F2's or F1.4's. Even the 16mm F2.8 is small enough to fit in a pocket and provides roughly the same performance. If you set the camera to manual focus mode and prefocus for a walk around lens... I don't know. Your mileage may vary.TL;DR It's a very good lens cap that also takes better than ok photos.

Worlds Ugliest Lens Cap
Worlds Ugliest Lens Cap: No Focus Control No Aperture ControlSet your camera on Aperture Control, adjust the ISO and shoot .... that is about all you can do. Soft all over.Reminds me of using a 1950's Kodak Brownie camera except I think that they had more glass in the lens.Last but not least this thing is UGLY!!! Who thought that the 'clock face' could enhance the aesthetics of the lens.

Good but has flaws
It’s a good lens, I mainly go interested on this to have a small ufo lens on my “point and shoot” set up with my canon Eos M2, but it has very strong vignette which you can’t fully fix on LR, but it does amazing for just point and shooting and has a very filmic like style of photo. You can put it on infinite focus so you can just point and shoot as much as you want, but make sure you shoot in daylight because this lens is a F/6.3 meaning you need light too shoot. If you don’t care about the flaws and wants those flaws I think it’s worth it, but if you have an old 1 time use film camera take the lens and just make your own body cap lens :)

Optics worse than the worst disposable camera ever made.
This lens is out of focus at all distances, and the optics are far worse than a peephole in a door. Like looking through a dirty window without your glasses on. It is truly useless. There must be quality control issues because nothing this bad could be the result of some optical design.

Better than I thought
The lens works well with my Olympus MFT camera using manual focus. Fun to play around with.

Obiettivo "vintage" spettacolare.
