Homax5700 Homax Caulk Finishing Tool

I’ve been using this caulk tool for over 10 years now. I give one to every apprentice I teach. I can caulk damn near anything without this. But this cleans up the edges beautifully every time for a perfect consistent bead every time. Highly recommend.

Good old fashion tool that does the job and better than most out there.

Best caulk tool on the market! Used for 20 years. Used to be exclusive to Sherwin-Williams. Bought a large quantity and finally ran out of them. Thought they weren't made anymore! 43 but I think I'm going to stock up on more. Every time someone else sees me using it they disappear. I even had a customer take one from me.

This is only suitable for perfectly flat and smooth surfaces. It would work more effectively if it was a softer silicone material instead of hard plastic. Get the other Homax tool for smoothing. It works awesome.

We were frustrated getting a clean and straight grout line. This product works wonderful! Our grout lines look professional.

Didn't work for me. Finger technique way better (and cheaper!).

Ok, I hate to be too particular about such a small item but you asked. I am a cabinet maker and when I have painted jobs, this tool was invaluable in very fine caulking prior to painting to hide the find black line of joints. I have purchased the homax tool several times over the past 15 years. The material used was reasonably flexible. The new iteration of this tool is much harder. It will work very well for most any caulk finishing task but I needed the earlier version. This one still leaves the smallest bead of the ones on the market but doesn't fit the bill 100% for me anymore.
