If you are purchasing this item because your 2.5 to 3.5 xbox headset adapter cord has shorted out, this will not work for you application. This adapter appears to only transfer the sound from the headset and will not allow you to use your mic on xbox live. Just wanted to prevent someone else from making the same mistake I did.

Great connector for older model headphones or other audio devices that have smaller 2.5mm jack. Newer products like mobile phones, tablets now have have a 3.5mm opening for earphones, headphones, so I couldn't use my older products with them.. Now I can use my older model headphones, earphones that still work fine for me on the newer phone, tablet/computer products. Good fit- doesn't separate when walking.

I bought this as a spare. Hooked it up to my phone headset and although I could hear audio, it was not transmitting the microphone. Tested with two headsets same results. If I jiggled it just right I could get it to barely transmit. Switched back to my original adapter and it worked fine.No quality control on this and the wire is a lower gauge than my original. I would not recommend this product.

Need an adapter to connect my headset to a computer. Previously I was connecting it a cordless phone.It works with no issues. Both mic and headphone working just fine.
