I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it

Fairly new to listening to The 1975, I was conflicted about purchasing this on vinyl. I went out on a limb and bought " Being Funny in a Foreign Language" based on a couple of live performances on YT and was immediately in love with the album and the band. I took a chance on this one too after only hearing a couple of songs and, I must say, I received it yesterday and am absolutely thrilled. First of all, amazing quality vinyl. Sounds fabulous on my turntable. And the music is just incredible. Can't believe I didn't hear of them sooner. Will continue my deep dive into their library, Highly recommend!

Is this album still worth buying in 2022? Yes. It will always be worth buying! No ragrets! Not even one letter! Matty's voice sounds even better on vinyl and I was pleasantly surprised to recieve a translucent vinyl instead of black. What a great buy!

Amazing musicians, producing amazing work. Many of the arguments against this album (just like any argument regarding a band evolving into another sound) are that they lost what makes them the 1975 and sold out to pop. Any person who takes the time to listen to this record can understand that this isn't pop music devoid of meaning. This record to its core generates authenticity and meaning. The 1975 don't make music that they don't believe in and if you're an actual fan of this band, you won't be let down.

i was not expecting that the 1975 could come close to their debut album. that album is one of the besst in the last 20 years. its an "album" and every song is great. well they did it again with this album. out of a whoping 17 songs they couldn't ALL be great but they areALL pretty decent. ONly about 14 of them are great though. LOL the others tend to grow on me. all in all a superb sophmoric effort. Now i can put both albums in the pot an do a shuffle and enjoy the next 2 hours. btw if you have fire tv, when you play this album every song shows lyrics ina carioke style. its the coolest thing

If you haven’t given this album a listen, you must! It’s beautiful, especially on vinyl. What an amazing experience. This is my favorite vinyl in my collection. It arrived on time and damage free.

Two stars for the packing job - CD case was delivered all cracked up. Anyway, product preview... Comparing this to The 1975's first album is like comparing apples to oranges. The first album has more of a puritan sound with clean vocals and instrumentals with some synth thrown in occasionally. This second album is very "digital." Vocal effects and electronic, ethereal sounds galore. There are a couple acoustic songs on this which are very nice. Regarding favoritism, I am inclined to lean towards the cleaner, more jazzy first album. The second one has its own mesmerizing jive though. After listening to this on Spotify several times, I decided it was worth buying - it's a great road-trip album.

it’s amazing, but i accidentally scratched mine the day i got it, so this is mine and everyone’s reminder to handle your record with care, because scratches sound HORRIBLE on vinyls

This is what vinyl should sound like. The music itself is superb, but given the album and the band have been around for a while you should have made up your own mind on whether the music is for you. The 2LP clear vinyl arrived in pristine condition and plays perfectly. Clean pressing, great sound and a pleasure to listen to. Much warmer and greater depth than the CD/streaming - 'If I Believe You' being a great track to demo this. Compared to their most recent LP (NOACF), which has crackle issues, this one is clean, well pressed and faultless. And possibly the better album, but only just, as everything The 1975 have done is top shelf in my view...

Escribo esta opinión tanto para CD como para Vinilo ya que tengo los dos formatos comprados (uno para el coche y otro para el tocadiscos). Tanto una como otro formato son iguales en estilo e interior, excepto el Vinilo que contiene dos vinilos transparentes. Las dos ediciones están muy trabajadas, por sus letras e imágenes incluidas tanto en uno como en otro. Las mejores canciones de este álbum yo diría que son Love Me, UGH!, A Change of Heart, She's American, Somebody Else, The Sound, Paris entre otras. Un dato a tener en cuenta es que el grupo de Manchester cambia en su estilo del anterior disco a éste. Al precio baratisimo del disco hay que sumarle que Amazon nos regala su versión digital.
