Great addition to our bed, especially during winter
First off, if you’re considering this product, you’ll need something on top so you won’t feel the tubes. We started out using a 1” foam mattress topper and a padded mattress protector on top of the heating mat. I could barely feel anything @250lbs and my wife (110lbs) couldn’t feel the tubes at all. We’d turn on the unit before my wife started her nightly routine (15-20 mins) and it was warm in spots, but not all over. If we turned it on about 45 mins to 1 hour our bed would be toasty, which my wife loved. We’d turn off the unit as we got into bed and it stayed warm throughout the night. I’d wake up a little sweaty, but my wife slept like a log. The ONLY problem we had was trying to get my wife out of bed during winter. Oh, also buy a funnel if you don’t have one because sopping up spilled water is a PITA……more so when your wife is the one spilling the water 😵

Hey, this is pretty good!
I'm super-finicky. Ask anyone who knows me.Especially when sleeping.Noise bothers me. And bumps bother me.Well, I was most worried about the noise, and that was totally unfounded. The pump is dead silent. The heater is not, however. You do hear the solenoid clicking on and off from time to time, but with it on the other side of the bed, it's not nearly quiet enough to wake me up.The ridges created by the tubing are less perfect. I had to put this under another mattress pad, which is itself under a thick furry blanket. I _mostly_ don't notice the bumps now. Only very occasionally.Even on very low settings, it's plenty powerful enough to roast me through both of those extra layers of padding, though. I run this just over 90*, which is about 1/3 power. It's a lovely gentle warmth underneath me, and I no longer need thick piles of comforters smothering me from above.I've tried standard electric blankets and mattress pads, but in the quiet of the night, I can hear the electric current moving through the wires when they cycle on. It's distracting enough that I can't fall asleep. This is a silent solution if you're finicky like me.Be sure to monitor the water content every few weeks. The cap isn't designed to hold pressure, so the liquid will very slowly evaporate. I have to add about a tablespoon a week, but you can let it go for 3-4 weeks before it gets low enough that the actual addition needs to occur.*I should note that I bought the absolute lowest end model of this unit. It comes with a single on-off switch, and a turny-knob with degree numbers written on it. I'm sure the fancy-pants wifi-connected, digital one is great for someone ... but not for me. If you are looking at this and worried about it failing, you may want to opt for the basic model as I did. There is little here to fail.*

Will definitely need to layer it with something
I got the twin size and it fit my foam matress very well, I layered it with a twin comforter folded in half, so as to have “two” layers over it, and the heat on the highest setting isn’t felt too soon after especially if you stay still, but moving around to other areas on the bed you feel the warm that has been collecting under your sheets and under you as well, I am the kind of person that likes to be super warm when I sleep, and I have had electric heaters that shoot up hot air into my sheets (very dangerous btw!!!) just so I could sleep without feeling like I’d freeze haha. This helps so much sleep so very warm and toasty. I love that if I move a little I am surrounded by more warmth and if I put my hands under my pillow or turn my pillow upside down it is warm af and it feels like I’m getting hugged in my sleep and I find it very soothing. The only thing I dislike is that I can feel the tubes and woke up extremely sore the first few days until I realized I should layer it more by folding my sheet, it helped some but I definitely will need a better solution. Some mentioned a matress topper so I might do that

Design flaws and leaks.
This would be our second year with this mattress pad. It was great for awhile, cozy and warm. The downside is that its expensive, there is only one controller so the bed was too hot for my husband. Where the hose attaches to the pad is in a bad spot if you have a headboard and the controller is huge and there’s no warning when it will run out of water - usually in the middle of the night with a horrible beeping to wake you up.Last but not least, this being our second season of use, it’s leaking from where the hose attachment is so I’m shopping for something else. This is very disappointing- It’s too expensive not to last for a few years.

Everything about it is good
This product successfully brings the night-time hot water bottle into the 21st Century. Lots of good features and NO electricity in your bed. At last !It was very easy to fill the bedside tank with distilled water, which only needs to be done twice. The elegant, lighted controls and display are a joy. As advertised, operation is completely silent. The mattress pad is well made and is thick enough that you don't feel the water tubes. Heat is completely even, there are no hot spots. The instruction book is thoughtful and easy to read.Energy use is surprisingly low. Electric rates are very high in this part of the country, I have this unit plugged into an electricity monitor and after a number of weeks the total cost is very small. The water-based design holds the bed temperature constant, unlike some electric blankets that cycle on and off.A great feature is the pre-heat button. If you get home late and your bed is ice cold, this unit can bring the mattress up to temperature in just a few minutes. It has an adjustable auto-off feature to save energy. The large clear temperature display reads and adjusts in single-degree increments. The control panel is very ergonomic, tastefully lighted and a pleasure to use, it's also totally smooth and can be dusted off in a single swipe. After using it every day for some months, I plan to buy another one for the other bedroom as well. A real money saver, it uses much less energy than it takes to heat the entire bedroom. The bed is next to an outside wall, before, it was cold and now it's just right. Highly Recommend.

Horrible
This product is one of the worst things I’ve ordered For the price you would think they’d at least have decent instructions or a place to contact themThe instructions are very basic and no trouble shooting ideas. Every time I turn it on it beeps and shuts off. I have tried Everything I can think of to fix it. So it sits. I would have returned it but bought it as a gift for my husband and didn’t open it till after the return date
