I have three of these, two at home and one at the office. We use the scanning and printing. We run all the printers from Linux. Our Company no longer has a single computer that boots Windows. I think the Linux implementation is easier anyway. It is not a heavy workload printer. The scanner can do duplex and double sided scans. Runs on wireless or wired Lan. If you need to print a lot of paper, look for something else. It is a black toner. There are two toners, get the high volume version. Its nice having one model to buy tonier for. We still have HP 4050's and even though they are old, we repair them and they printer large jobs. The Brother printer is a good solution for the money. Also, keep it clean so that dust does not get into the paper feed mechanism. There is a little door that should stay shut when not scanning.

I DID NOT RECEIVE THE MFC-L274 AS LISTED. I INSTEAD RECEIVED THE MFC L275. I HAVE THE MFC-L2740 I HAD ALREADY BOUGHT A FEW YEARS AGO. THESE PRINTERS ARE GREAT AND WORK WELL. HOWEVER IF YOU HAVE TO CHANGE THE WIFI PASSWORD OR CONNECTION THEY WILL GIVE YOU ISSUES AND DISCONNECT SO THAT YOU HAVE TO EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE RECONNECT THE COMPUTER OR INPUT THE PASSWORD. THE MFCL 275 HAS ACTUAL BUTTONS TO PRESS BUT THE MFC L274 IS A TOUCH SCREEN FOR ALL THINGS- COPY,PRINT,NUMBER OF COPIES.. ETC. DOUBLE SIDED OPTIONS. I THINK THEY ARE EASY TO GET THE HANG OF FOR THE PRICE. I NEEDED ONE FOR HOME AND FOR WORK.

I purchased thus to replace an older Brother MFC that was over 10 years old. This is a litter smaller but prints faster. So far its great. It comes with a starrer cartaridge so it wont last long. Brother OEM cartariges are a little pricey.

I'm disappointed that I didn't buy a color laser printer. However, I am pleased at the print quality. I did need technical support and it was excellent!

Way more machine than I'll ever need, so it's never going to be pushed to it's limits with me. Works just fine, does what's supposed to do.

This is my favorite printer! We now have 5 of this same printer. Reliable. Great prints. Front and back printing/copying. Excellent quality. Top notch!!

I have had this less than a year and only use for normal printing needs. It is already not working well. Lots of errors, very SLOWWWWW printing and now it keeps saying its out of paper all the time when it is not. I tried all the fixes and it still does not work well. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Plus the price has DOUBLED since I purchased it in february 2020.
