Elements: In Pursuit of the Wild

I didn’t realize this would be printed on Mayte rather than glossy paper, but the outside is very aesthetically pleasing and the photos are still quite beautiful.

I am in love with this book. It has absolutely breath-taking photographs and thoughtful narrative. I am hoping Rucksack Magazine produces another. Definitely a coffee table book must!!!!

I’m going to be completely honest here, some of the pictures in this book look like photos I used to take on an iPhone and post on Instagram in 2015 when I thought I was an “amateur photographer” The photos aren’t breath taking and all look dull/grey. The occasional large text is very Juvenile as well. It may fit someone else’s vibe better, but I expected more.

A beautiful book with breath-taking photographs and thought-provoking narratives. Split into four sections (Fire, Earth, Water, Air), Rucksack Magazine have explored each theme with great care and attention to the smallest of details. A book I will be returning to time and time again...

If you’re one to get lost in the beauty and awe of nature and photography, I can’t recommend this enough. It’s simply stunning, moody and in the current environment, transports you to another world... a coffee table staple!!

My personal view on it is that it is not a classic photobook but a printed version of moddy Instagram images. It disappointed in almost all aspects on what I expected buying it as a source of inspiration.
