Cheap and cheerful (after forty years of Weller soldering stations anything's cheap) and thermostatic, so can handle nasty modern lead-free solder, the stand is too lightweight for thr cable (I've clamped it to the workbench, the switch requires attention to make sure it's well on, and I've had better desoldering pumps. But the selection of tips is good, the built in lighting probably useful when I'm not isolated, and the set, even with pliers and nippers added is lightweight and handy for a retired technician

Recommended.I'm impressed with the quality at this price level. It's a nice, complete soldering kit - I particularly like the fact that you can adjust the temperature and switch between the different tips for precision. The light on/off switch is a nice feature.There is one thing I would change and It's the packaging - I'll likely repurpose the case as it's nice and sturdy but keep this kit in a leather/fabric brush roll.

Quality soldering kit in a neat compact case - all the tools needed to prepare and solder for small electrical , electronic and metalwork jobs - delivery also excellent ordered evening and arrived next day !!! - would recommend

I’m only using this for little DIY jobs (speaker systems, small wire repairs etc.) and it has been great so far, iron seams of decent quality for the price, heats up really nicely and would be great for a beginner.I couldn’t see the tips lasting too long but for less than £15 you can’t grumble with everything you get in the kit

Good soldering iron, well priced but the stand is a joke. It is very unstable and lets everything else down. I use it for plastic welding so being able to change the temp is useful. I use a heavy glass as the holder. It has more weight than the flimsy thing it comes with. It would actually be safer without it if that makes sense?

Item was received promptly. Very smart and useful carry bag. The kit is quite comprehensive, particularly for its price. Contains all you need for home and diy soldering tasks. For a starter to intermediate kit I do not think you can do better than this. Well recommended.

I just received the Soldering Iron Kit after reading all these good reviews and when I opened the case half of the stuff were missing. The soldering iron, the solder wire, the desoldering pump and the 5 soldering tips. Litterally very disappointing!!!!! THANKFULLY IT HAD THE INSTRUCTIONS!!!!

Bought this to replace my old soldering iron which was falling apart. For the money this is a good kit and comes with a good selection of tools. If I was being picky I would say the only thing missing is a pair of wire cutters, but not that much of a loss!
