Sword Art Online Platinum Collector's Edition (Sword Art Online, 0) Hardcover – December 22, 2020

I have never seen a box set of this quality ever. They normally are just flimsy cardboard that hold the books and maybe have a sticker thing with it. This edition has a sturdy and quality box. The box is unique and actually slides up to open versus most open faced ones. The books themselves are two giant volumes with cool design plastic slip on covers. Not those flaps that go around the inside cover but a rectangle sleeve for protection. The books have unique design pages and lots of extra details and color pages. The icing on top is that it also has a packet that holds cover art posters for all the volumes up to number 20. The two books cover volumes 1 through 20 of sao. It also has a poster of the unique cover art on the box. This edition only costs about 140 dollars which is less than buying the 20 volumes individually by at least 60 dollars and the volumes are higher quality and contain more special artwork. I could not reccomend getting this edition enough if you want to read sao. Sao itself is an entertaining and unique story and as you read through it the story keeps getting better.

I bought this for my son because he is a great fan of all that is Sword Art Online.I know others were complaining of problems with shipping and slight damage but the set we received was masterfully packaged and there was no damage to any of the items.The set consists of two hardcover books that have volumes 1-10 and then volumes 11-20 of the original canon of the Sword Art Online light novel series. These are NOT the Progressive line of light novels. The paper and heft on the books are indicative of its quality and my son is over the moon with them! There is also another envelope with the books that contain pictures of all of the covers of the original books.Both of the books are in thick plastic sleeves that keep the books closed and prevent marring of the front and back covers. Both of the books and the envelope with the cover artwork are in a wonderfully decorated hard cardboard-type case and looks great on display.The question "Is it worth the money?" ... I would say yes and my son would most certainly agree! Think about it ... there are 20+ volumes in this series ... the series is STILL ongoing so be advised that there are MORE than 20 volumes ... but if you were to buy them all individually you'd pay ABOUT $10-$15 PER BOOK. I was able to get this collection, brand new, with shipping, for $155.The one note I'd say is that this set is for a true collector. My son LOVES this series but if your person is a casual reader I'd say to buy the books separately because, from what my son told me, there are different arcs in the books and that somebody may love the first 4 books and then not really care for the rest of the series.I hope this answers and addresses any questions or concerns you may have. Aaahhhh!! It’s perfect. Hung up some of the posters over my bookshelf and PC. See the books on middle shelf and the box on the bottom shelf as well. I love how it looks. It’s my favorite anime and I am so excited to read the novels! Everything came in PERFECT condition. This is worth the money if you are a collector! I especially love the Kirito x Eugeo posters 🥺

I was reading one or another review about bad shipping but luckily, that didn't happen to me, the collection arrived quite well.The two hard books and their 20 piece poster come and they are fine, there is no problem with that. The two books that cover up to 1-20 of light novel, you will not get lost in reading.The only problem I see with this is that the font is very small and that complicates it a bit, since the book is big and heavy, you would have to be close to not be able to get lost, well at least in my case, I use glasses , if you don't use them and you have good eyesight, then go for it.I recommend it, the collection is quite good and the only problem would be the font size, apart from that, everything is fine.

I want to give this 4.99 stars because I LOVE it. The only thing is... the print is so small T_T is it worth it? YES. Do I still love it to death? yes. It's really good quality and the poster set it came with is AMAZING. I'm still going to read it, but it's gonna be a little bit of an eye strain (I'm not old and I don't wear glasses lol) But I think you should be aware if you have trouble with small print that this is very small print. Still worth it. Still love it to death.These 2 volumes are HEFTY books. 27.5 centimeters x 23.5 centimeters, hardcover and gorgeous and come with thick plastic protective sleeves (thank god). Not the easiest to carry around with you because of how big and heavy they are, but I wouldn't want to anyway and risk wear or damage. So if you're a casual reader maybe just read the paper backs for portability and larger print, but if you're a fan you'll love this.

The media could not be loaded. Don't get me wrong- this is a BEAUTIFUL piece of the anime industry. Any huge SAO fan would love to obtain this CE. It is an ultimate collection of light novels 1-19, covering SAO through Alicization to lead into light novel 20, Unital Ring, which just came out. This contains the entire adapted anime so far as well as gorgeous artwork contained in a poster collection. My only negative is this package was handled horribly. There is a dent in the top and it came covered in water and flakes all over the front, but thankfully I cleaned it. If you dont mind some potential minor scuffing, it is very worth the discounted price of $149.99. It would be 5 stars if not for the shipping.

This is one of the best collector sets I have. The books are massive (and super heavy) but they're great quality and the built-in bookmark is really helpful! The volumes are separated by volume covers, easily distinguishable on the sides in case you want to read a certain volume.The art on the box is beautiful and captivating. Everything about the way you open the box to the way it's packaged makes it feel special and exciting.

At the beginning I was a little stressed to buy it online, since most of the time they are not well protected, so they arrive with damage on the box. However with the protection put on this box set it arrived in perfect condition and it is the same for the interior. No exterior damage not even the corners or scratches on the wonderful images. Furthermore, the two books are insanely gorgeous and so good to read. And the posters, just wow. In addition, I had a very fast delivery (only took 3 days). I am very satisfied and happy to have it in my library with all the others.

I love it! You get a bunch of amazing-looking posters and most light novels in the form of two books. The text is reasonably sized and the artwork is stunning. The package arrived within a couple of days.
