This is a quality made UK travel adapter BUT it only works if there is clear space above and below the adapter. We recently stayed in 11 hotels across UK and Ireland and it only worked in about a third of them because the hotel's built-in outlets were often only about 2" above a desktop or nightstand top or chair rail thus preventing the complete insertion of the cell phone charging cords. A regular phone charger could often not be used either because the charger when plugged into the top of this adapter would hit the the on/off switch built in to every outlet preventing the required electrical connection. Thus it only had one working plug on the outside. Fortunately we were able to work around this problem because we also had an external battery charger that would charge both phones a couple of times each before requiring it to be recharged overnight. I included some pictures of the problems described.

Perfect!
I took this on a 5 1/2 week trip in Italy and LOVED it! It was perfect - If necessary, I could charge my phone with the USB port, my computer using the grounded plug, and my camera with the other plug! I love that it has both cell phone and tablet charging ports and that it labels them. I had no trouble getting it to plug in or stay in (as opposed to my friends with some other adapters, which would fall out or barely fit into the plugs). One warning though: the charger has a bright blue light that shines when it is plugged in. It's unnoticeable during the day but at night it seems very bright. If you are a light-sensitive sleeper, you may have to cover the light!

Nice versatile plug for India (and Ghana)
I went on a business trip to Bangalore, India and bought this plug so I could plug in my laptop, a few devices to charge, and either another charger or something else with a normal non-grounded US plug. In my case, I brought a small 2-prong to USB charger, which fits great in the top slot and gave me 3 USB plugs. This fit every plug I came across in India and worked fine for charging, including in the airports in Mumbai and Bangalore. One thing to note is that many plugs in "tech places" (i.e. hotels, office buildings, etc.), at least in Bangalore, feature universal plugs, so that you can plug most standard types (US, UK, Europe, Australia, India, etc.) into them without an adapter. However, since this also gives extra slots for USB, it's a bit more useful.

Great alternative to a power strip when used in conjunction with the same company's GP-3 travel adapter
We got this AND the same company's GP-3 model for a recent dive trip to Indonesia instead of bringing a much larger power strip. We were very pleased. We used the USB ports on this model to charge my spous's Kindle and smart phone, and the older model to power a battery charger, electric shaver and some other stuff. Even in places that just had one wall plug available, we got all the outlets we needed by plugging the GP4 into the wall and the GP3 into the GP4. And they took up so much less space than a power strip--a big plus in today's environment of increasingly tight weight and space allotments on airliners (especially ones flying domestic routes in Asian countries).

The shape was a bit of a problem
We stayed in 6 different hotels and cities in Australia and New Zealand, and discovered that the outlets there are different from those in the US in that they all had on/off switches on them. Unfortunately, the switches were just above the holes where the prongs of the plug go in, and because this adapter goes in and "stands tall" in the outlet, it would sometimes put pressure on the outlet switch, causing it to switch off. I suggest that the makers of this product redesign it so that the tall part of the adapter hang under, not above, the prongs.

Best one we found.
Bought it for a friend going to South Africa and she told me it was the best. Everyone on her trip had to use hers, as theirs didn't work or overheated.

Worked perfect on my France trip
I used this on my trip to Paris. I had both my Apple Watch and iPhone charging from the USB ports, my portable charger charging from the front plug, and a french lamp plugged into the top plug all at the same time and everything charged fine and the lap worked. I especially love that you can plug in US or French plugs into the sockets on the front and top of this. I used this in 4 different hotels/apartments and it worked flawlessly in all of them. Highly recommend.

Worked Perfectly But I Wouldn't Buy Again
Used them regularly in South Africa for almost a year. Left them there to keep using them on my next visit. That said, I wouldn't buy them again but only because really cheap European plug adapters and power strips are ubiquitous in SA these days and since I travel to Europe all the time, I have plenty of those. Many newer appliances in SA come with European plugs these days too.
