If you only need two, and you're wanting them in the buttery, comforting, "soft white" spectrum synonymous with the 2700K color temperature, this pair of 65-watt equivalent BR-30 LEDs from Cree Lighting are the best current value within the Amazon ecosphere.Observations: (1) At 2700K and 650 lumens and using only 8.5 watts, these LED bulbs glow with the calming, creamy, gorgeous soft white light many of our childhood home memories demand. Good color rendition
These work well with our dimmer switch, and my wife (who has much better color vision than I do) doesn’t complain about the color of the light.

I like the fact this is so much brighter than the old recessed bulb I was limited to in my fixture.

Nice soft white bulbs, best for can lights.
I love these, however I'm unsure how long a life they'll have and there's a part of me that hesitates to rate them highly due to their price point being higher than most. If they last a very long time or outlast others, then the cost will be worth it. Time will tell.

Really lowers energy cost
These are used in a high activity room where energy cost was simply too high. This cuts that cost by 80%. Too bad I was restricted in how may I could purchase. I found what I need to finish the job at Walmart with no hassle.

Affordable Alternative LED Bulb
This is a much more affordable option for recessed lighting! I've begun replacing my "name brand" bulbs with these... You cannot tell a difference between them.

Sexy Time Not Ready anymore
I did not notice any noise or flickering, the only thing I noticed was good times had by allWhat do you know! After about 2 months of normal use, 4 out of 6 bulbs not only started flickering but started getting a little too warm to touch. Now I LOVE my CREE bulbs, but I have never bought CREE bulbs that dim. I will have to go back to those Philips ones. Oh well.The strange thing is all of the non-dimmable LED bulbs I have bought from CREE over the last 10 years or so I have yet to change a single one of those.
