I used these to hang some records on a wall, and they work great. They are wide enough to fit a 4lp live album.

Very important that holes are pre-drilled deep enough in any material to handle full length of threads. These cannot be turned by hand to self-tap without breaking. Also, these hooks cannot support more than light loads. I use them in a belt rack with no complaints. But that is after I broke a number of hooks by trying to screw them into holes that I had not drilled deep enough.
