At the beginning it was brilliant. My fish loved it. However, it started making a strange noise after a couple of weeks and then one night it went bang and caused an electrical trip. Also lots of smoke from the socket (I've got a USB and plug socket all in one). Not exactly safe. No water had gotten to it either as I had a valve on it. It just decided to go bang.

These little pumps are fab, ive got a few now, one running 2 air-stones after attaching dual valves to it (bought separately), the tanks are in a bedroon and you cant hear these running at all. Ive also got one running a traditional sponge filter, crystal clear water and perfect water chemistry.Dont know how long they will last so bought a few more since as standby, Much cheaper and quieter than better known brands, would definitely recommend if you have a tank in the bedroom as they are so quiet.

Useful little backup air pump, i got it to take me over the delivery charge requirement, thinking i might use it one day if i move house, 3 days after receiving it i had to quarantine a fish and so popped it in my quarantine tank, not very noisy but decently powerful, i would say definitely a backup rather than main pump, especially on good sized tanks

Haven't used an air pump for a fish tank before so can't compare how noisey/quiet it is to others but overall it's not loud, but noticeable in a quiet room.Adds a nice asthetic to my 40ltr tank as well as helping to keep the water moving and adding oxygen. Pleased with purchase.

So happy I discovered this usb air pump. I have a usb wall socket close to my tank, and this negated the need for an ugly extension plug. Incredibly, the actual pump is silent. Great for the money.Update.....Pump died after 6 months use.

First one I bought became very noisy after a few weeks, but I had it replaced with a 2nd unit which is going strong a month later. Plenty of power and still very silent

Fantastic little air pump, works a treat for an ayirstone within a sponge filter. Even better, works with a battery pack if there's a power cut. Love it.
