The prices for this type/height of planter vary widely but the one on Amazon was the clear winner. Very sturdy, very handsome, excellent price. Other websites were selling the identical item for as much as $50 more. I bought two to grow creeping figs. The planter gives them height (and prevents my dogs from lifting a leg on a shorter pot) and the plant can either cling to the patio wall as it grows upward or dangle over the sides. I hope it does both. Filled with potting soil I can't see them blowing over easily but if you are prone to worry I'd suggest a brick or two in the pot bottom. Honestly, very tough pot.

I have ordered these before and had to return them. I tried ordering again and hoped for a better result, (i.e., somehow I would get two that didn't look like they had already been returned multiple times.) Last year when I did this I got lucky and managed to get two "good enough" ones for a client.This time they were just not good. >Sigh< The planter material is lightweight and flimsy, arrived warped and as I said, was easily scratched in transit. If they were $19.99, I would say they are worth it.Amazon threw them into a large box with no packing material at all, and a single tape to close the box. One of boxes I ordered had obviously opened in transit, (UPS taped it shut with a LOT of tape.) These containers are floating around inside the box so it makes sense that they look damaged, scratched up and unusable by the time you get them.

We purchased 3 of these 32 inch tall plastic planters for our back yard. We put 3 olive trees in these planters with some solar lights and they look magnificent day and night. I would buy this product again and recommend to a friend.

We are rv full timers, my wife likes to put plants around our rig but with the hookups on the back it makes it a bit of a pain to water them trying to drag a hose around, I got this to put on what is considered the front side, and it is actually at the front end. I made a bracket to hang a expandable water hose on it, drilled a couple of holes, a piece of pvc pipe and fittings to bring water to it at the bottom and water out at the top for the hose, now she can turn water on for it at the back of the rv and water her plants, wash the patio furniture off, wash the car what ever she or I feel like easily now

Love these planters. I feel the price was too high, but all planters seem to be over priced. I did a lot of comparison shopping before I settled on these. A lot! I choose them mostly for the oxblood color and the size. Oxblood is the color of our gable trim and these match perfectly. I put fake plants in, but still had hubby drill holes for any water to get out that may get in. They do have a raised center in the bottom with a removable plug, but that would not solve the problem of water accumulating a few inches before it could reach the drain. Also I am including a pic so you can see there is a bottom lip so that water can seep out. In other words they don't sit completely flat to the ground. Also please note the top rim changes the opening size to around 11". Overall I am very pleased.

I will purchase more when I need them.

I ordered this planter because of the clean modern style, color and price. I did not mind drilling a drain hole in it as others have mentioned, but the first day that I put it out in a sunny location, the sides started to bow out from the suns heat. It is not terrible and others might not notice it, but it is apparent whwn you mention it. I will keep an eye on it as it has been less than a week, but that was disappointing.
