I've used my Dr. Pen M8 twice. So far so good! The instructions are vague, so watching some videos helped to set my mind at ease. I tried it on my hand first to get an idea of how much it would or wouldn't hurt. You'd think that 16 tiny needles being swiped across your face would be very uncomfortable, but it wasn't horrible. Be sure to use a good amount of Hyaluronic acid and do your face in sections so the HA doesn't have to be reapplied. I have a pretty high pain tolerance but I'll try using a Lidocaine cream in the future, especially around my eyes. I didn't toss the needle cartridge because no one else will be using my Pen; I sterilized it with alcohol. The first time I did my face, it peeled A LOT but that is expected. The second time, I used it only around my eyes and my "11s" with no peeling, only redness and a little swelling (which lasted a couple of days). It's best to use the Pen in the evening and I suggest using it on the weekend to give your face time to calm down. The Dr. Pen MS is sturdy, high-quality, and easy to use. Be sure to watch tutorial videos!

I've been getting microneedling done professionally for several years so have a good feel for what to expect in terms of discomfort, redness, and results. I've used this twice so far and found the experience to be comparable to my experience at the salon. I've already paid for the device three times over and it appears to be well-made and capable of lasting for many years. If you haven't had microneedling done professionally, you would want to check out You Tube videos on how it's done before your first try. I was a little intimidated working on my own face but it was surprisingly easy. I'm thrilled with my purchase.

I look 20 years younger! I recommend getting a microneedling session at a dermatologist first then watch all the videos you can. Start slow and work up. Nano needling is a nice "freshener" between sessions.

The pen is awesome, I can not say enough good things about it!! And it’s 100% legit, at least from this seller. I checked using the QR code on the box before using it to make sure, and it was verified on the Dr Pen site. So if you’re concerned about that, don’t be (again, from this seller, I wasn’t 100% sure about the same pen on Amazon from different sellers, so I went with this one).If you’ve dabbled with dermarollers and were considering a step up, but feel a bit intimidated by adding something motorized, this little pen is so much easier than the rollers!! Safer too! The 16 pin cartridge has the tiniest needles I’ve seen out there, across all the pens. And with the speed of the pen it takes me about a quarter of the time it would take with a roller, with a quarter of the discomfort.I’ve been derma needing on and off for years; I’ve gone through a ton of rollers, and even bought a really cumbersome and awkward motorized device from Europe, way before a non-licensed person could buy a pen in the US. That device was better than the rollers, by far, but in comparison to this Dr Pen, it's like comparing one of those first HUGE mobile phones, carrying case and all, to an iPhone 13 Pro. Lol!The needling on an off instead of being consistent, was 100% down to the colossal pain in the @ss and production of rolling or using my old device. Not to mention the pain involved, and I don’t mind getting tattooed! After using this Dr. Pen a couple times I know it will be a breeze to stay consistent. And unless you are, you won’t see results. I usually only write reviews for really good service or really great products, but after thousands of purchases on Amazon over the years, this is my first review. Not because everything else I’ve bought on Amazon was subpar or mediocre, but because this pen is that AMAZING!

I was hesitant to buy this pen based on some reviews, which stated that it stopped working after a few uses. I'm happy to report that my pen has worked consistently since I purchased it nearly a year ago. I initially used it every 4-5 weeks, now I do it every 8 weeks or so for maintenance. My face looks fuller, fine lines are dissipating, and age spots have faded. This is well worth the money, so much cheaper than going to the salon and the results are the same. Highly recommend Dr. Pen

Very good for use In between professional microneedling

So I've been using this for a few months and I think it has softened my fine lines and improved surface texture, more even skin tone. First the thought of needle pain makes me flinch, but this is so much easier than my micro needle rollers on the face. I feel it's easier to do spot treatments, jaw and neck, less painful and more efficient than just the roller. I like how you can adjust he needle depth. I only use the 1.0 or higher once a month, and less than 0.5 - 0.25 once a weeks. The cost for the needles can seem a little pricey, but I try to look for good deals with reputable sellers. Like with anything If you want results then you must research how to use this pen and follow the suggested protocol.

It didn’t come with directions… it took a little bit to figure out how to use this… Love the results… my skin looks amazing!
