Beautifully presented and useful information
I did not expect such a gorgeously bound book, but the quality far outweighed my expectations. This book is definitely gift worthy, but also a wonderful treat to yourself. The content is thoughtfully presented. Each illustrator’s section opens with a brief story, showcasing the illustrator’s work. The story is followed by art breakdowns unique to each artist.

Lovely & Helpful
This has illustrations and advice from one of my favorite illustrators, Ruth Hammond. Full of helpful instructions, tips, and the loveliest art. A great, and pretty, resource to have on the shelf.

Broken cover
The book arrived on time and I'm very excited to get my hands on it, but even though the box it came in was full of airbags (a lot), the cover was broken :(

Adequate instructions. Some wokeness.
Good survey of instruction. The woke baloney should be jettisoned. Would be better without it.

Wonderful book
A wonderful book with lots of tips and useful information. Some great examples from various talented artists, although not my style (it is quite cartoon-style), still lovely and helpful. As an artist myself, I believe it's always nice to see other artist's work and find some inspiration.Haven't looked through it in-depth yet, just flipped through it and it looks like it has a lot of tips on publishers, printing and character design. This is not a teaching tool which, for example, teach how to draw a character... It won't do that, it's rather a guide on the process of creating your own children's book. The book mainly aimed for those who draw for children ages 2-8 approximately, although I would imagine many people would still find it helpful and inspiring.Quality of print is fantastic, well worth the price, good amount of pages for that, though I do find the book is quite large and could have been made smaller with possibly more pages to make up for that.Otherwise, a lovely book to add to my collection.
