I bought this pack of pencils a month ago. There were some negative reviews but I went with my gut feeling that made in America and the promise of the superior eraser might be true. I’ve been using them to mark canvas and draw designs on paper. I can confirm these pencils are excellent, especially the eraser which is indeed superior to the orange rubber erasers of other brands. These white erasers are strong, last longer, and don’t leave rubber residue. I’ve used about 5 pencils so far in the canvas project, so I’m confident about my experience. Great find. MADE IN USA PENCILS smell good, write great, eraser works great and leaves no smearing or eraser color like pink erasers can sometimes leave. 10 star PENCILS and the only brand I'll purchase from now on.

As they say, they don’t make stuff like they use to, but these pencils are great.. like the ones they use to make.

Overall 4 star on these only because they don’t stay sharp for long. If you use a lot of pencils you’ll find that for some reason some brands sharpness stays longer. Even with same applied pressure. These are actually really pretty pencils though and super convenient coming already sharpened.

My son loves these pencils for school. (The eraser does not smudge.)

Absolutely a pleasure to use. Fine polished wood is comfortable to hold. Leads take a good point and glide very smoothly on the paper. These are a good replacement (and even an upgrade) for the Eberhard Faber American Naturals that appear to no longer be made.

They were dark pencils and did not break

Excellent quality. Claims to be Americas finest pencil. Could well be. Certainly a lot better that the cheap and nasty Chinese ones.
