Excellent story with gripping twists and turns that hold the attention and kept me reading from the start. As a writer myself in learning so much from reading her work.

Good story and an unexpected ending. A love story with a twist and some well written characters. I loved it

I’ve read A LOT of books, but never a Sandra Brown until now. I didn’t know what I was missing. This book is so well crafted & intelligently written. I questioned a few things. However, the neatly interwoven plot explained it all, eventually. How else could one keep you guessing than to withhold certain things until the end. You won’t be sorry for choosing this book if you read it in its entirety. I will become a reader of Sandra Brown.

Great boo

Personally, I really enjoyed this book. There were fun characters. The ending was the twist I wanted. Our young hero has morals but is human. Our victim does not lack enemies. This was a great book for traveling: easy read, nice romance, good plot with twists and obstacles.

I listened to this 20 years ago on tape and didn’t remember much about it except that it was a very good book. I decided to read it after all these years and it was so hard to put down. I loved Hammond and Alex. I kept thinking about the book all day until I could pick it up again. Lots of suspense and excitement. It doesn’t have a lot of sex like most of her novels do-it’s mostly about the murder case and the undeniable attraction between Hammond and Alex. I love Ms. Brown’s books and this in my opinion is one of her best!!!

This is the 3rd Sandra Brown book I've read. I am a fan of her writing style and find it refreshing that her story lines are not predictable. However, in my opinion she gives the reader too little information. In some cases that makes you hungry to keep reading, but with this book it made me lose interest in the story. You aren't able to start putting pieces together or having them actually solve the case until you are 80% through the book. Knowing the entire time that the characters are wasting their time makes you feel like you are wasting yours. If you want to read a good Sandra Brown book, I recommend "Mean Streak"

検察官のハモンドが、のちに容疑者とされる女性と立場上許されない関係に陥ってしまう…。彼は野心と欲望の狭間で悩みますが、自分の心には正直です。強い正義感をもちながら緩い面もあるところが素敵だと思いました。その容疑者の女性に謎があるため真相がなかなか見えないのですが、混乱させられることはなく、秘密のロマンスと事件の解明をわくわくしながら読み進めました。魅力的な脇役が多いところもこの作品の特徴で、彼らの存在やウィットに富んだ会話がストーリーをさらにおもしろくしています（…脇役たちのなかでもう一組カップルができればいいな、と夢想したりしています）長編ですがぐいぐい引き込まれ、とても読み応えがありました。やっぱりサンドラ作品は好き！

Der Staatsanwalt Hammond Cross will ein ruhiges Wochenende in seiner Hütte verbringen. Weder Alex noch Hammond erwähnen bei der Polizei, daß Alex ein Alibi hat. Und Alex verstrickt sich immer weiter in Lügen.The Alibi ist ein spannendes und gutgeschriebenes Buch, welches für den Leser einige Überraschungen bereithält. Es ist interessant zuzusehen, wie Hammonds Gefühle für Alex immer stärker werden und er hin und her gerissen ist zwischen Zweifeln an ihr und dem Drang sie zu beschützen.
