I have used electric window candles for decades, but was tired of having to turn them on and off in eight windows. I was also concerned about the heat from the bulbs. Several years ago I switched to LED, battery operated candles that stayed on for about 6 hours. Although convenient, the light produced was an ugly orange color and as battery power decreased, the bulbs would flicker and each candle would look a bit different.These electric candles are nearly perfect. The color of the light produced is difficult to describe, but it is a slight golden white, not clear, but not that gaudy orange. The candle design and base is very simple and works in any decor. The bulbs do not get hot. Simply plug in each candle and they become bright and beautiful at dusk, staying on until dawn, about 12 hours in my location, longer if the morning is cloudy. They do produce bright light inside the house, so I unplug those in bedroom windows. This would likely not be an issue with dark drapes.The challenges with these lights have to do with stabilizing them on the window sills. They are extremely light weight and the cord is somewhat stiff at first. I have plantation shutters with narrow sills but the solution was the use blue painters tape to tape the candle base to the window frame in order to keep the candle upright and stable. Then I put the cord through the bottom slat of the shutter. Of course this means that the shutters will not close completely. I don’t find the gap to be an issue however.All things considered, these are great window candles, elegant and simple to use. If they had a weighted base, they would be perfect.

I love these lights. Had to use double sided tape to keep them in place, but they look so pretty on my windows.

EXCEPTED BETTER QUALITY

I thought these candle lights were a bit expensive, but I am very happy with them. The cords are longer than others I have purchased, so I do not need to run an extension cord. The lights come on at dusk and go off at daybreak, so I don’t need to remember to turn them on and off. They do not suction, but they sit well on my windowsills.

These work great! I love that they come on at dusk on their own and I don't have to walk around the house turning them all on. My favorite thing about them is that I can use my own bulbs and am not limited to what comes with them for a color.

These electric candles worked exactly as described in the ad. I needed 3 (seem to come in only 4 ct). Had to add a 10' extension cord for two of the candles. On at dusk, off at daylight. Attractive set.The only drawback I could find is they are light-weight and therefore easy to tip over. The bases do not suction to the window sill.Still a great buy.

i bought these around mid december (dec 21) and loved them. however, now i'm only down to two. two of them stopped working (yes i changed the bulb and the fuse) the first one stopped working only 2 weeks after having them, and the second one stopped working last week (feb 22)

Nice candles. Warm light but bright. They are light, not weighted at bottom, so they are easy to tip over if not using a suction cup. I've broken two bulbs from them falling off window sill. Next year, I'll use command strips to hold them down on window sill.
