Lifestyle Changes with Grit and Grace
Grace Filled Plate is an easy to read book that has simple solutions. It's concepts are easy to apply to daily life with grace. Living a life of submission to God guides us as we care for our bodies. Changing mindsets through Biblical truths and grace, lead to long-term health and wellness. It takes the condemnation of diet failure and gives a healthy conviction to care for our body.Healthy lifestyle balance is a process and not instant. It takes time to change mindsets that a person has trained for many years. It is easy to believe that extremes will lead to success, however it is in the small daily choices that bring lasting results.

Excellent devotional! Food isn't the issue and diets aren't the cure!
I loved this devotional for many reasons. It was written clearly and livingly, giving the reader so much hope! This isn't a typical lose weight devotional, focusing on the "don'ts" of dieting. Truthfully it isn't about dieting! It's about reframing how you look at yourself and food. So if you're looking for another book on diets this isn't for you. However, if you're looking to dig below the surface and learn what motivates you and the food choices you make, who you are in Christ, and be reaffirmed about God’s love for you, regardless of how much you weigh, you've come to the right place. This devotional is about God's grace and applying that grace to yourself, something we so easily do for others but not usually as easily for ourselves. It's about changing the negative voice in your head with the truth of God's Word and celebrating what you do right instead of focusing on what you perceive as what you've done wrong. There are so many nuggets in this devotional so don't rush through it. Sit with it. Pray about it. Journal about what you’re reading and learning because God will show up and show you His plan in this area of your life. The devotional was well written, kept my attention, and encouraged me to do the work. I didn’t miss a day because I couldn’t wait to see what was coming next! Transforming your thinking, your mindset, isn't easy and it takes work. Be willing to do the work because you are worth it! If you do the work you will see results. Finally the author, Brandice Lardner, has so many wonderful FREE resources on her beautifully designed and easily navigated website. She provides a link to "30-Day Grace Filled Plates Companion Prayer" printable. I loved this! Short prayers and a calendar for you to write a word, or in my case a phrase, for that days study. At the end of the month you’re invited to look for a theme in what you’ve written. There’s also a mini course called, "Faith>Food which I loved! There are some great resources provided in this course too! What I loved about Ms. Lardner is that she is interactive so if you make a comment she responds. If you email her with questions she responds. Your words, your insights, are not lost but heard! You see her heart in her work and her interactions with you.I highly recommend this devotional. You will be blessed!I really hope she writes another devotional in her engaging style.

Great devotional!!!
This devotional spoke to me on so many different levels of my life. It kept me from indulging in foods I did not really want. God spoke through Brandice to help those of us who struggle with thinking some foods are bad. God declared all food good we just need to take the responsibility to eat well. The Bible says all food is permissible but not all is beneficial. I’ll leave you to look that scripture up.

Easily Digestible (Pun Intended) and Incredibly Applicable
When you're already overwhelmed with trying to build healthier eating habits, the last thing you need is a big, fat diet book telling you all the things you need to change. Brandice's devotional is nothing like that - she includes information in bite-sized chunks that can easily be read in five minutes a day. What's more is that she provides a key scripture passage, real-world application, and actionable step with each reading. The scripture passage helps you understand God's will for your eating habits; the real-world application shows you how put it into practice; and the actionable step encourages you to pause, pray, reflect, and/or move toward finding food freedom. Perhaps what I love most about this devotional is that you can tell Brandice has walked this journey herself. She speaks from experience, empathizes with the reader, and encourages women to let go of guilt and unrealistic expectations so they can accept God's love and unfolding grace. Brandice knows that this is where true transformation occurs, but this devotional is a conduit to get you there. It will help you recognize your worth as a child of Christ (not a result of your performance), find peace and joy in the presence of God, and embrace a new way of thinking (an eternal perspective). I highly recommend Grace Filled Plates to anyone who longs to break free from the stronghold of food so they can step forward into their God-given purpose with energy and vitality.

Great devotional
I really feel like this devotional is helping me change my eating habits with the help of God, through grace. I'm learning to turn to God instead of food. Even if I mess up, His grace and mercy are renewed for me to start again over and over.

My focus is changing and I am more positive
This e-book is more about thoughts and attitudes and living life from a healthy perspective as a beloved child of God and giving ourselves grace and encouragement rather than the black and white thinking of most diet books! No rules to resist but grace to embrace ourselves and lean into God for encouragement. Thank you Brandice! I keep thinking that these thoughts can also be applied to other areas of our lives that we may struggle in.

knowing God is in this walk
Inspiring and given me hope, that with the Lord I can get some where in losing weight, instead of getting so stressed out. I would not say this is easy, but it helps me to reflect and think about why I need that food, that after eaten I beat myself up...i find it helpful, at present lost 1 stone 8 lb. I suggested this book for a fellow Christian sister who was struggling, and it has helped. Would recommend this book.
