Seems durable in snow ice cold wind
This is a five-star review for the AstroAI Car Windshield Snow Cover.I've only had this a few weeks but it has surprised me by surviving what it has been subjected to in terms of cold, snow, and wind. When I got it, we had a wind storm coming in with below freezing temps. All day and all night it took 35 mph winds with up to 60 mph gusts. With the higher winds coming from behind, it would lift right up off the windshield and billow like a sail, flap around. I thought it was a goner, figured some neighbor across the valley would find it draped across their car by morning. But it held on for dear life all day and night.Next day I noticed a little tearing beginning at the one seam, so I decided to take it in, rather than just let it be destroyed. And that has been my habit now. For the really strong winds going all day, I take it off. But I was impressed with how it endured that beating it took. It gives me more confidence that it can handle some routine winds.Goes on and off easily. The straps are quite long, and I managed to fit it on an older extra-long minivan, with a very tall windshield. It didn't easily reach the back wheels, but I was able to clip it securely to the edge of the wheel well. And in the front, I found it fit better clipped to a slot in the front bumper, although it also reached the front wheels. Fits great, really covers the wiper/vents slot with some to spare. Nice snug fit.The straps have quite a bit of elastic in them. So in high winds, especially coming from behind, they aren't able to hold it down tight. But that elasticity probably saved the seams from being destroyed. The buckles would also move from the wind. I had to tie the front ones to hold it at its shortest. The cover will lift up and flap in higher winds. Lower winds like 20-30 with gusts to 40 are better. Even with it lifting up, it still kept the snow out of there good, and the hooks have held great.I've had it down to about 5 degrees F with winds tugging at it, and it proved to be very durable. I had my doubts about the plastic straps and hooks, but they seem to handle the cold well. TIme will tell how long it all lasts in the sun. The plastic of the shield also does well in the cold, remaining flexible. Easy to put it on even below 20 F. I try not to move and flex it much below that, but the wind does. After some snow melted on it, some water pooled at the bottom of the windshield, on top of the cover. I found it the next morning frozen into a football shaped chunk of ice. Even at low temps, I peeled it off the cover easily and chucked it aside, and the windshield was free of ice. Cotton lining works well, very smooth. Black plastic heats up in the sun and dries out the edges. I haven't had any problem with it getting seriously frozen to the vehicle thus far, but with enough ice the straps and parts can freeze on.Mirror covers work well and are plenty large. Just shaking them a bit removes the snow and ice from that area. This vehicle has wiper blades that can't easily be brought up, so they become a trap for ice buildup. This windshield cover promises to be a great tool to help reduce that ice buildup - that's why I got it. I figure it should last at least one season, maybe a few, even with the weather here. I've already bought a second one based on how this one performed in the wind, snow, and ice, and very cold temps.

5 Stars and more.
I work early in the mornings in Colorado weather. My windows stay free of ice and snow now. This is large I drive a sedan and it fits perfect with a lot of room. Easy to put on and take off. This is NOT flimsy, it is thick and stitched extremely well. The straps are easy and adjustable and even with wind it hasn’t blown loose. All my neighbors bought some that get up early like I do after they saw how fast I take it off and get to leave while they are still scraping their windows, now we have 5 cars on our street using them. I slap it on at work when it looks like it’s going to snow and it’s been wonderful. The quality of this is superb! I wish I had more for my kids cars.

Works perfect if you take the time to dry it
I use this for my 2003 Subaru Outback during Bellingham snow + windstorms. Stayed on and did really help with keeping my windshield clearer.Cons: like other folks have said, this baby can get soggy or add moisture to the inside of your vehicle. I did take it inside to hang in the bathroom between uses so it would dry completely. One hook broke pretty soon after using but I’m not sure if it was just super cold or hit at the right angle.Elastic straps are thin so don’t reef them too hard.Inner “anti-theft” tabs can sometimes bring rain/moisture inside the car but not always. Im not sure if they were soggy when I put them in, or of they stayed wet longer than previous uses.Pros: great cover. Stayed on in strong winds with no complaints.Helped reduce scraping but didn’t eliminate it completely from my car. Might be that it’s a bit older and the defrost doesn’t work so well.

Works good
Bought this in preparations for heavy snowfall. It hasn't snowed a lot but this is what I have to say after using it so far.The Pros:* This perfectly fits my Nissan Juke well. The windshield wipers aren't able to lift up because it's blocked by the hood. So having this cover everything saves so much time trying to get ice and snow off the wiper area.* Does a good job keeping the windows from frosting up. No more hassle to defrost or scrape the windows.* No water leakage so far! There's a tab on either side to put behind the doors to secure the cover and so far no water leakage.* It's easy to hook onto the car.* Very water resistant. Be careful when leaving it in the car after use. The ice will melt and/or it will retain water when folded up so it will leak out. Left my back seat soaking wet when I left it there bundled up after using it and the next day was warm. The Cons:* It's hard to fold it back up into the bag it comes with.* I still struggle to figure out which end is up when placing it onto the car. I always waste so much time trying to figure it out, flipping it around and around. Wish there was some kind of visual indicator across one of the edges.

Great item
Got this for my 2022 Equinox just in time for the first snowfall. Easy to put on and off, worked well. Supposed to get 40 to 60 mph winds tonight so we'll see how it goes. While I understand the reason behind the plastic hooks, and they seem fairly sturdy, I hope they can withstand northern winters! It doesn't cover the side windows completely but it covers them just enough.

Works as expected
The materials look and feel of very good quality. It protects perfectly against rain and snow, and makes removing the latter very easy.Reflectors are a good addition for greater visibility of your parked vehicle. The only problem I can find is that it is a little small on my Honda CR-V, it needs one or two more inches to be able to install it on my mirrors without a problem, even so, I contracted the mirrors and was able to install it anyway.Do not check if it is sold by size, but if so check which one is best suited for your type of vehicle.

Excelente producto
Cumple con las especificaciones descritas, es un poco más grande de lo que esperaba, pero le quedó perfecta a la camioneta. Para el carro si se ve un poco grande.

Great quality. Exactly what I was looking for.
I bought this for my MG HS. Many other windscreen covers were simply too small. This is really good quality. Quite thick and really substantial.Reasonably easy to put on considering its size.It fits completely over the windscreen and the windows of the two front doors as well as completely over the door mirrors (and their housing which was what I was looking for). The straps holding the cover on are better than the usual magnets I think.A great idea is that the passenger side has a elasticated strip under the door mirror pouch to allow you to stretch it to fit without pulling the cover too much.
