I bought the single sponge version and it's the best investment I've made. The water filters so clear and the filter doesn't put too much pressure, to almost no pressure, in the water. Making a great installment for fish that do not like disturbance in their water (like my betta). This filter comes with extra ceramic pellets and one extra sponge good enough for one filter change, however the air pump you'll have to purchase separately.

This is a very quiet filter that doesn't require any electricity to run but you must have an air pump. It circulates water and saves electricity

I like the bio balls that are included. Using it to filter my 25 gallon aquarium. Pretty quiet and hangs on the back of my tank. I wish I would have bought the black sponges instead of the green.

I added this to upgrade from a single and get more surface area, but I think it works against itself sometimes as the sponges get dirty. I have a single that works better more consistently, but they both work well if all you have is an air pump. I do like that it comes with biological media to put in the filter as well. All in all, a good deal and I would recommend for the added surface area, just make sure you clean it regularly.

I received this filter on 4/23/22 and today is 4/25/22... just seeing how much this filter does in the matter of hours is astounding! It was getting clearer by the hour! I had just gotten done planting and filling my tank and the water from the sand was quite merky! This filter has since cleared and cleaned the water beyond my expectations! I had originally had a general side hanging filter and it didn't even come close to making my water as clear as this filter has. Currently there are only 2 fish in my tank a female panda platy and a male betta but soon I will be moving over my 2 ghost shrimp and a snail. My tank was well cycled before ever placing the fish in there so there was no issue or shock when moving. Remember all filters come with a chemical attached to them and need to be rinsed with dechlornated water first before ever being placed in the tank. The filter doesn't come with instructions however anyone with a brain can figure it out so the complaints of them not coming with instructions on how to assemble is a little silly. This is coming from a newbie in the fish keeping world.I would like to add that the box mine came in came with 4 sponge filters and 4 separate bags of media. What a steal for 17.99!Defiantly will purchase again if mine breaks or has issues!

This is definitely a great pump. It's super quiet and gets the job done.

I have three of these things now. One in a 10 gallon tank, and two in a 30 gallon tank.They're absolutely amazing.-Nothing to replace-Easy to take apart and clean (not that I've needed to yet, other than taking the foam filters off once to rinse them out)-Comes with extra ceramic media (4 little bags total, two used on initial set-up) AND extra foam filters (4 in total)It's almost silent, does a fantastic job cleaning the water, and aerates the water.10/10 Would buy again.
