Tons of pressure at hand
I was apprehensive about this purchase but I wasn’t disappointed at all. This tool is the bomb once you get the hang of it. The key is not taking a big bite with the handle. Take little bites to really be able to swage the wire. I used these on 1/8” wire for a deck application. They worked great. I used #9 crimp jaws and crimped Muzata parts, also available on Amazon. There are no instructions for which jaws to install in the crimper for different sizes of wire. I went with the smallest in the kit and it turned out to work extremely well. Other similar products didn’t have as good of rating as these so I spent a little more and am pleased with the outcome.

Well built battery Cable Crimper
I have used it to do battery cables and grounds for my welder and plasma cutter. Beats doing it by hand. The crimps are professional level and tight. Wished I would have gotten it sooner.

works though a bit awkward
Performs good crimps once you get the hang of it. A little awkward to use as you need to have the handle underneath in order to see the crimp while operating. This means you end up pumping the body of the tool and rocking the work up and down. Or face it right side up and you can't see to align the work. Still, performs the job. It would be handy to include a chart of wire gauge to reference the die size.

Not as advertised
I was installing cable railing on my deck, so I needed some way to crimp the cable on the mounting brackets. I looked at a few, this one happened to be an "Amazon Choice", it was rated pretty good, so I bought it.First of all, with this type of hydraulic crimper, it almost takes 3 or 4 hands to do the job, that is if you want to do it efficiently. I used only my two hands and made a few crimps with no problem. I had 1/8" cable, so I used the #4 crimp die that came with it (all the other die's were for larger wires). After I made about 6 crimps, the device would not develop enough pressure to complete the crimp. When I began tightening the cables to make the wires tight and make the wire rail safe, a couple cables were pulled out of the turnbuckle. This reqired me to install a replacement turnbuckle to complete the job. That was enough for me, I requested a return authorization to send it back to Amazon and I ended up buying a manual crimper, which totally kicked butt.In addition to a faulty crimper, it came with a cable cutter for cutting to cable to length for the cable railing. Well, the cutter looked pretty impressive, looked heavy duty. It made about 8 cuts and then it started cutting most of the strands of cable but not all of them. Not impressed. Just so happened that the 1/8" wire I bought came with a cable cutter and it never failed to cut the first time and I made lot's of cuts.I would not recommend.

Great little tool
I purchased this tool to swage connectors on a cable railing I was installing. It is extremely easy to use and functions as intended. I only rated it a 4 because before I completed the railing it was already starting to leak oil. It also had a note in the box that referenced user should read the owners manual but it did not come with one.
