Paper MateSharpWriter Mechanical Pencils, 0.7mm, HB #2, Yellow, 72 Count Pack of 3

I HATE running out of lead in the pencils I use, and when I discovered these disposable pencils, I almost did a happy dance (not quite, especially since I was in public at the time). They suit me perfectly. I can put 3-4 into my tote bag, along with my "idea book" and if I'm stuck somewhere and have time to kill, out my pencil comes with the notebook, and I'm ready to rock and roll...or write. Depends upon how you look at it, I think.I have no clue how many pieces of lead these hold, I can't tell you how long they last. What I can tell you is that I've used them for the last few years and have yet to be disappointed in them.

If you are in need of a mechanical pencil with a thicker 7mm lead that prevents breaking, than this is your pencil. I have used these for years, and whenever I use the typical "click" style with a 5mm lead that breaks with every line of text, I go back to using these. This mechanical pen relies on a twist to feed the lead. Even the erasure is replaceable. Only drawback for some might be that the pencil is not refillable. But then, how many times have you fed lead into a mechanical pencil only to snap and break it? As a scientist with a research lab, I bought these for my college student researchers and I to use.

I really like the darkness of the lead in these pencils. They are a popular pencil with students and are great for using on word finds. They erase neatly and are good for crossword puzzles for that same reason. I recommend them for sketching, drawing and an addition to artistic endeavors. As a mechanical pencil they perform very well.

I love love LOVE these mechanical pencils. Once I realized how superior these are to all other name brand mechanical pencils, I refuse to use anything else. The smoothness of the lead is outstanding. Great for writing and taking notes, even great for doodling. It's the perfect lead weight, and the pencils last a really long time (as long as I don't lose them or others stealing them!)As long as Paper Mate keeps making these, I'll keep buying these!

I noticed every time I used one, it “walked away” when I went to use it again, so I stocked up! Apparently my entire family is each hoarding a stash now. I love the sound of the scrape and cans even sketch with them. I have much nicer ones, but I still grab these. Must be the right darkness etc. bc I have poor vision!

In this world of word processing, there are still times when pencils come in handy. I use them in my checkbook and on any paper calendars or address books I keep. The mechanical pencils eliminate the need for a pencil sharpener, and the erasers are VERY effective. Clean erasures every time with no smearing. Pencils are lightweight, yet sturdy.The lead lasts a long time in each pencil. Reliable quality. I will buy again when I need them.

Mine r fake!! It looks compeletely different from the picture. I want my money back!!
