Delicious! Interesting texture with the rice wrapper, will buy again!

Cheaper than my local Asian grocery and same product. I love these! They remind me of my childhood, well the good parts anyways. I always loved the little sticker that comes inside the box. I love freaking out my non Asian friends when they realize you eat the rice paper part over the candy (but not the actual wrapper)

I love these candies! Used to be in stores but hard to find now a days.so happy they are on Amazon now! Just to let everyone know the plastic on the candy is edible since it's made out of rice and your not supposed to unwrapp it but you can if you want too. Thats why the wrapping sticks to the candy. The candy itself is kinda hard well it's more of a chewy candy but will soften up in your mouth after a couple mins. It's supposed to be ate slow not fast to enjoy it and that's how it's made. It's all natural candy and has a light citrus flavor of orange not over sugary like American candy. Japanese candy ain't all like that sugary. So keep that in mind!!! But it's a nice treat and worth the .99 buy. Comes with a cute sticker for kids too!

I had these many many years ago as a child and remembered loving them. I came across these more recently on a whim and decided to relive the memory. They taste exactly how I remember, with the fun edible wrapper and all. I ate them much too quickly. These are an excellent treat.

Unlike so many mainstream candies that get reformulated repeatedly over the years, Botan Rice Candy has remained its sweet, simple self. As a kid I would walk down to the corner store and buy boxes of these. I still have a sticker from a box I got in the mid 1980’s! It still tastes exactly as I remember it and has the same level of quality, Fun to eat because of the edible rice paper wrapper. Sweet and chewy with an uplifting citrusy flavor that is delicious and not overwhelming.. Texture an adventure starting with the dry rice paper that melts in your mouth, to the fruity good stuff.. slightly firm outside and soft chewy center that melts in your mouth. Mmm 😋 Given that there are only 4-5 pieces per box, the value really isn’t very good. They are quite expensive. That said, I will still occasionally splurge for these because they are a taste of my childhood that I’m now sharing with my child. Plus they are just deliciously simple and that is hard to come by anymore. They got my 8 year old’s seal of approval also! Try them!

I bought this candy because it seemed interesting and I like to try new things. Also the price was right. Sadly I am now addicted to them..... They have a citrus orange flavor. Sweet but not too sweet. The consistency is like a very soft gummy candy. It is clearly a rice candy. There is an outside wrapper, and an inside wrapper rolled over the center of the candy. The inside wrapper is edible, soft and wafer like. It is a candy experience. Each box contains 6 pieces of candy and two cute stickers. Yes, I will be purchasing this again....and again......and again
