I had no problem getting it to fit in my old go pro...it appeared to take a charge. Now, 10 months later it's completely dead and won't take a charge. I don't know if I just bought a used battery or what...all I know is it doesn't work less than a year later.

Had I thought about it at the time, I would have provided a video of the install for any saying this doesn't fit or work. I bought this to repair my original GoPro Hero which suffered a bloated failed battery. This took me roughly 30 minutes to install, a fair bit of patience, but was completely worth it. If you have any doubt it will fit, I can assure you it does. When you install this, line it up as snug to the housing as you can, and once you have it in place, gently press down around the corners and then work from one end to the other. It takes a little bit of work to get the battery to seat fully, and then you will need to use a spudger to help make sure all of the plastic is properly tucked. The wiring will need to be routed carefully to ensure the connector can plug into the board, as well as to make sure it is not pinched by the case when you press it back on. Again, this absolutely works, but it is definitely more snug than the original. Take your time and it will be worth it. No reason to throw out what you can fix with an inexpensive battery and some spare time. :}

I was worried that it would not fit my original GoPro Hero but it does. The fit is tight but with enough futzing around it will go in just fine.Routing the wires is key to getting it straight into the camera. You don’t have to force the cover on.

My go pro hero 3’s battery wasn’t holding a charge anymore, so I decided to change it. Purchase this, while it does hold a charge the only down fall was it was a little bigger than the original battery, so I had to force the cover shut. You can still see the blue cover a little bit, but the water proof cover still shuts close tightly and Keeps it dry.I’d recommend this battery, but as a heads up it is a little bigger than the original
