So up in Canada, where outdoor hockey is a second nature, we play alot outside, I bought this for my nephew to use on the pond. Don't waste your money, if it's cold out (-7⁰C seemed to be too cold) the rubber bands stiffen up and don't rebound properly, you have to pass it with the exact perfect passing speed, anything too soft or too hard and the band twists and the puck slides right under it, trapping it inside the triangle. It is heavy, which is good, but makes getting pucks from under it a pain. Great idea but very impractical, it should be stated to only use this in warm dry conditions, with perfectly weighted passes, otherwise it's just a metal triangle that does nothing. Very very unimpressed.. needless to say, his big Christmas gift turned out to be a dud

Much better than any cheap "automatic" passer. This piece of equipment is rock solid (must weigh 20 lbs) and has both smooth feet and adjustable spikes (c/w an allen key included) to allow you to peg it into the ice. My daughters use it for hours. Getting the rubber band on was a bit of a pull but it just shows the exact fit this is built to.

This Better Hockey passer has amazingly realistic return passes (outperforms our "hockeyshot" passer which is very weak in comparison). the product is nice and heavy, perfect for on the ice solo or for a team (3 sided passer). we also use it on our synthetic tiles, same results. very impressed.The better hockey targets are also amazing and VERY durable, they can handle extremely hard shots np.highly recommend

Issues with puck going through bands even though it was used with 8year Olds. Constant adjustment with band and penitration on ice to allow it to work makes it a no go. Do not recommend.

This Triangle Passer is amazing.I set it up in 5 minutes and use it on the backyard rink. It has spikes to keep it in place but it's heavy enough that you can use it without.The triangle shape allows you to pass it from 3 different areas and 2 people can use it at the same time.It also teaches you to pass the puck flat. You can also practice your saucer passes by shooting over it.
